    (The top line)

Welcome to Overscroll! This plugin is a semi-continuation of hawkfalcon/mbaxter's Scroll plugin (which can be found here: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/scroll/. However, rather than tediously utilizing the player prefixes in scoreboards to create the scroll, Overscroll uses HoloAPI to create a temporary scroll that floats above (or below, depending on the config), the player's name tag. It also has an API that lets developers add in their own scrolling messages.

Overscroll's GitHub repository is here: https://github.com/skyrimfan1/Overscroll.
It is nearly ready for public release on BukkitDev; currently, I'm ironing out minor kinks left in the system.

    Here you guys go!
Sorry if the gif looks a bit choppy, I had to trim it down majorly for it to fit on Imgur.

SoThatsIt Although the tag does lag behind the player a bit, it looks very clean when moving!

In theory you could attempt to predict the motion to make it smoother.

True, but then there's the problem of the plugin miscalculating or overcompensating which then makes it equally as bad. :p
For now, I'll probably just leave it as is, but later ... who knows?

It would only miscalculate when they change their motion. Assuming everybody's walking in one direction more than 50% of the time it would be better. Well, in theory...

I'll see what I can do!

But I'll probably give users the option in the config to disable it if necessary. For example, on a PvP server, where users run in circles and in random paths to get a better attack point, it might not be as handy as persay on a regular survival server.

Perhaps each player could be given a rating as to how "erratic" they are based on movement and it would turn the prediction up or down based on that score. This is getting kind-of ridiculous, but for some reason that sounds fun to code.

As the original maker/designer of scroll and contributor to HoloAPI I am full support of this! Nice job.

Thanks everyone for the support! I've been busy lately with schoolwork, but I should have an official Bukkit Dev repo up soon (as in the next couple of days). :)
