Why are my Essentials Red when i do /plugins?

Problem:
So I was starting this 1.8.1 server right? (Yes its bukkit) And I added a few plugins "Essentials , WorldGuard , and WorldEdit". So I tried to use the /help command to see the new commands, but nothing worked. (I used the server with just WorldEdit before the Essentials) So I used the /plugins command and saw that Essentials, EssentialsChat, and EssentialsSpawn was red. So I looked up through Google, but was too lazy to actually research, So I figured to go to the Essentials of Bukkit itself, The Forums! Please Help
Also EssentialsProtect is said to be in Emergency mode. Please help me with Essentials.
