Right, I want eclipse but on the download page there's more than a few IDE's for download. Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers, 212 MB ? Eclipse Classic 3.7, 174 MB ? Eclipse IDE for Java Developers, 122 MB ? I'm on a limited bandwidth internet atm so I need too download the right one... I'm probably wanting the one in the HUGE Plugin Tutorial.
Are there any major differences between Classic and Java Developers? I've always used Classic, never had a problem...
@dumptruckman In my opinion NetBeans dosen't teach good programming because your not hard coding its just auto filling all the stuff in for you. Haven't tried IntelliJ might have a look see. For anyone developing plugins I suggest Eclipse for Java Developers.
Filling in what for you? It fills in a lot of GUI stuff for you but that's kind of irrelevant for plugins.
Simply put, it gives programmers to many shortcuts, cuts corners, where they should learn to type it out and learn what shit does.
