When will CraftBukkit for 1.3 be released?

With the Minecraft 1.3 release date fast approaching, a lot of people are wondering when we will be releasing a CraftBukkit Recommended Build for Minecraft 1.3. We hope this short announcement will answer those questions.

Due to the size of the impending 1.3 update, we are unable to guarantee that we'll have a compatible CraftBukkit Recommended Build out in time for the release of Minecraft 1.3. Although we started working on the update immediately after the Minecraft 1.3 preview was made available to the public, a lot of things were added, removed and changed in Minecraft from 1.2.5 and, as such, this update requires more work than usual to get things up and running. That being said, we'll continue to do our best to get an update out within a reasonable amount of time and will likely follow our usual policy of promoting the first Recommended Build the moment we get something that compiles and runs without any testing done whatsoever.

As we have done a significant amount of important work on CraftBukkit 1.2.5 builds since our last RB, we'll be promoting a new Recommended Build shortly. This is done so that people have a reliable, stable build to use until we can get a 1.3 compatible build out and so that everyone who relies on Recommended Builds are able to take advantage of all the fixes, improvements and so on we've done since the last 1.2.5 RB.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support; we greatly appreciate it!

So as far as everything is regarding 1.3.1.:
They have it completed but they are fixing bug issues.
They have released 1.3.1-R0.1 DB (which is still buggy).
Some plugins currently work with the released DB while other do not.
If I had to give a percentage on how much they've completed, I would have to say ~85-90%.

To those whose servers don't work with 1.3.1 and want to go back to 1.2.5 temporarily (until 1.3.1 RB is out), redownload the 1.2.5 recommended build and replace the .jar file. I've played Minecraft and have had a server for quite some time, so I can offer some assistance with some questions (in case they haven't been answered by others).
I also would like to thanks the CraftBukkit crew on doing such a great job with working on 1.3.1 RB and to keep up the good work.

i believe this process is called debugging and feedback, they actually use some of the information we post, if its accurate and they weren't already aware that is,

chunks are loading ok, but getting this alot

    08:50:41 [INFO] Connection reset
08:50:45 [WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?
    08:51:11 [INFO] /xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:38803 lost connection

    ip sensored

For anyone using the dev build, I suggest a back up of the server. Also try updating as many plugins as you can a.s.a.p. Outdated plugins with this bukkit may corrupt.

For some of you who are kind of questioning whether or not you should use certain plugins because you might think they'll crash or not work, I suggest backing up your files in case something does go wrong. Then once those are in backup, you should play around with a couple of plugins at a time to see what does/doesn't work with the current 1.3.1-R0.1 DB.

well the thing is that Mojang is no affiliated with bukkit so (even tho its should because bukkit is incredible) Its Not there problem if it bothers you that much then just download the minecraft.net one then wait for the bukkit to install

The server might crash without it saving the stuff you made, or inventories.

If I had to give an estimation on how long it will take for RB 1.3.1 to be released, (I might be wrong but I'd hope I'm right) I would say less than 6 hours until it's finalized.
