    With the Minecraft 1.3 release date fast approaching, a lot of people are wondering when we will be releasing a CraftBukkit Recommended Build for Minecraft 1.3. We hope this short announcement will answer those questions.

    Due to the size of the impending 1.3 update, we are unable to guarantee that we'll have a compatible CraftBukkit Recommended Build out in time for the release of Minecraft 1.3. Although we started working on the update immediately after the Minecraft 1.3 preview was made available to the public, a lot of things were added, removed and changed in Minecraft from 1.2.5 and, as such, this update requires more work than usual to get things up and running. That being said, we'll continue to do our best to get an update out within a reasonable amount of time and will likely follow our usual policy of promoting the first Recommended Build the moment we get something that compiles and runs without any testing done whatsoever.

    As we have done a significant amount of important work on CraftBukkit 1.2.5 builds since our last RB, we'll be promoting a new Recommended Build shortly. This is done so that people have a reliable, stable build to use until we can get a 1.3 compatible build out and so that everyone who relies on Recommended Builds are able to take advantage of all the fixes, improvements and so on we've done since the last 1.2.5 RB.

    Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support; we greatly appreciate it!

    Here we sit, waiting for updates,
    no they ain't out yet, so don't be irate.

    Don't spam the devs for questions of when,
    it comes out when its ready and not until then

    1.3.1 will be awesome of that we are sure,
    thanks to the Bukkit team, providing the cure.
    The madness that is and shall ever be, I CAN'T
    WAIT till bukkit 1.3

    Maybe not huge, but it is a fairly large update. Nothing like 1.8.1, but pretty much the same. I guess you just don't realize how much has changed. Play it and you will see.

    get your stalkin' boots on then. if it isn't posted officially or at dl.bukkit.org then it isn't ready.

    With the new changes and whatnot this could take them 12 hours, or 12 days. Don't let our bickering fool you. We are all fully aware of the work they have to do and that it can take some time to do so.

    ohhhh, the beta 1.8. I thought he meant a regular 1.8 update.

    You sir, are an idiot. You do realize that minecraft is now in release, but there was an indev, an alpha and a beta before it right? 1.8.1 is usually assumed as BETA 1.8.1
    I've only had minecraft since release 1.2.3, and I still know this...

    Yes, you just replace the craftbukkit.jar...

    This probably refers to the BETA 1.8.1 (around Nov 2011) when Minecraft was slightly cheaper (and many of "todays" features missing)

    I'm pretty sure all of the new blocks need to be added and API methods for all the extra functionality. It's therefore a pretty big update. As for when:
        public String whenIsBukkitUpdateReleased(double version)
            if (
    version == 1.3)
    String[] chars = {"a","e","t","n","s","e","i","r","W","h","t","i","d","y"};
    chars[8] + chars[9] + chars[1] + chars[3] + " " chars[6] + chars[2] + " " chars[6] + chars[4] + " "  chars[7] + chars[1] + chars[0] + chars[12] + chars[13] + ".");

    Oh God I Want This Buggy Only Compiled Build!!!

    Can't we be given the choice to use it? I mean if i screw up my server its my problem! I'm a grown up and i would really love to see this dev build. I can also promise I will send my Admins to report ALL bugs we find.

    I wonder how many posts have been deleted from this thread. Some people should learn the art of patience :D

    Or of course not update (but that's logical!)...
  27. Offline

    You will get it when its released. You've misread the post.

    There is no dev build out yet. There is no ETA. The team is working hard.

    Also, deleting posts asking for an update. You have your answer if you read either the first post, or damn near any reply.

    Err, he only posted half the stat.
    It will be done in 10-15 minutes, minus 10-15 minutes, plus 10-infinity minutes.

    Feeding the trolls is like feeding a gremlin after midnight, you're gonna have a bad time. >_>

    Ok, the more you post about I can't wait and/or need craftbukkit to compat does not reach the devs'. It will only piss off the moderators. So speak constructively!
