What plugin allows non-spout users capes?

Hi guys. I was on a server not to long ago and I wasn't using spoutcraft.....but 2 people were pretending to be Notch and Jeb. They had capes and their names. The names thing is easy to figure out...but how did I see their capes without spoutcraft?

 

Capes and Skins are loaded by their names. If they had their names, they have their stuff too.

 

A client mod will always be needed for capes as it's hard-coded on it to a specific URL by default.

I'm guessing that the only reason you don't want to use Spoutcraft is because you can't figure out how to install it manually due to the fact that you and possibly others have no paid for the game, hence using the names Jeb and Notch.

 

No. We use spoutcraft now. That's not an issue just at the time I wasn't on a spoutcraft client. Just hoped on some random server and saw it. So I was a bit shocked. The reason is my server is still not 100% spoutcraft as some have yet to download it and are taking their sweet time argh....



But I guess what zeerix has said makes sense.
