Weird New Issue, Please help

I was running a Bukkit 1.8 server and finally got everything running smoothly. Now I am trying to upgrade and I am getting a weird problem. When I try to use the Minecraft server or the newest bukkit, I am not able to connect via the IP I set up. I can only login with the address "LOCALHOST"

I have not changed any of the settings or files, what do I need to change to get the new server program (either bukkit or vanilla) working on the same IP I was using?


The 1.8 version server still works perfectly and people who have not updated can still connect, it is just the updated one causing problems

 

Try port-forwarding 25565 again, it could have been reset.

 

according to canyouseeme.org, the port is open

 

If you are inside your network, you will be unable to connect via your external IP, only your internal, so 127.0.0.1, localhost will both work.

 

i had no trouble connecting with it before 1.0.0 ... i have a static IP through no-ip.com

in any case, other people are not able to connect to the server either
