Essentially you right-click once and the stone block is placed properly. You right-click once again and it puts down two.

Not sure if this is a Minecraft server bug or a Bukkit server bug. Running build 94 on Debian lenny linux x64

Latest java from apt-get. Client is Mac OS X Snow Leopard

Try a newer build? Build 95 might have fixed it.

Search the bugs, it is already accepted.

According to changes for craftbukkit #100, this is fixed now.

Strange, I thought this was a feature, not a bug...

Normally, when you place two half-blocks, you get a double-half-block - which when broken, returns only one half-block (for an overall loss of one half-block). With this "bug" in place, placing two half-blocks gives you one-and-one-half blocks, which when broken, gives you back two half-blocks. Far from elegant, but it did fix the "economic balance" of placing and destroying half-blocks.

Hehe, yes I was thinking the same as you, but I rather loose one slab than to see this strange behaviour.

Breaking stairs does not give you 4 blocks anyway.
