@Fezellest I'm sorry, but such a thing is impossible without a massive amount of server lag and the inability to break said leaves. (using fallingsand entities) Also, players don't take damage from leaves in general - they're nonsolid blocks.
@Fezellest To add on what @pie_flavor said. Both the client and the server make collision calculations. Removing the leaves server side and showing them client side isn't hard, but the client won't see it as walking through the leaves, leaves also need to be removed client side in order to let people through.
