Forgive me if this question was posted earlier. I have a 8-core CPU, but bukkit loads 2 cores for about 100%, and the other 6 are at 1-2%. I have serious lags and I want to make it use all cores to decrease them. Can I do it (maybe some java parameter, or server config) or it depends on bukkit code and cannot be helped?
Nope, depends on Notch's coding, sadly. Minecraft is, for the most part, singlethreaded, and one thread can only run on one core.
I have only 1 world I would rather like to see mobs running in their own threads because they cause the biggest lags.
