Is it possible to code Bukkit plugins on an online IDE, such as cloud9ide? I've been thinking of investing in a ChromeBook, but I'd certainly like to still be able to code Bukkit plugins on it. Is this possible anywhere?

    Thanks!

If you really wanted to and knew what you were doing you can develop plugins from any terminal. You can use a cloud IDE, but they are not as mature as eclipse/netbeans/intelij in terms of tooling. They are more targeted towards newer web technologies and not really geared towards Java. You won't be able to compile anything on a chromebook running chrome os.

  3. if you want, you can instal a virtual machine on a chrome book to ru linux on it
