User has God Items and Bedrock

Someone got these items with all the same enchants, and 2 stacks of bedrock.

i am running build #2815
anyone know how to prevent more people from doing this?

Nope, never heard of it.
I dont have any plugins that affect enchanting. This guy was a guest rank as well so his access was already restricted

Yeah I had some moron on my server that could get god swords and spawn enderdragons... there's some hack. I don't know what it is. I just told him he was an idiot and permabanned him.

I'm just trying to help. Maybe you should try a different approach to people that are trying to help you.

 

i dont see how hacked client would modify item meta, wasnt there a problem going around with messing with book meta to give it enchantments by writing into it? cant explain the bedrock though. i would scan the log for every info of him IMO. a lot of cases for me it ended up with admin giving player/player killing admin/player breaking into admin house/chest

 

Yes I agree with necrodoom.

Basically someone with permission on your server to obtain these items somehow provided this player with items either because the player stole them or because that person with permission gave them.

 

Only 2 of my staff have access to items like this and both of them have assured me they did not come from them. They also told me they have never seen enchantments like this before.

 

Notably, build 2815 is for 1.6.2. I'd look through Leaky in order to check for anything similar reported.

 

sound like someone is forceopping for a split second and spawning them using a key binding. If you scout your logs youll find them

 

There is no such thing as a force-op.

 

I'm almost certain that you have Essentials installed, right? Essentials offers a "/enchant" command maybe it's a bug, NOTE: Essentials HAS NOT been a WORKING 99.9% Bug free plugin since 1.3.2, there hasn't been and recommended/stable build since then, it has just been pre-release, beta, etc. Check your permissions, do you have anyone else as Admin/OP? They might be able to modify permissions, such as enable essentials.* or essentials.give ir essentials.item

 

The user had just joined and at the time I was the only staff member on because it was like 5 AM or something. Even if he did somehow bypass something to get /enchant that doesnt explain the amount of items or the bedrock. I don't think staff is to blame for this

 

He Must Of Had Creative And Then Put Himself In survival Somehow. WeepCraft Hacked Client Can Make These Enchantments if your in creative and bedrock is only obtained through creative.

 

thats completely false, there were multiple release builds since then, 2.9.4, 2.9.5, 2.9.6, 2.10.1, 2.11.1.
and thats because essentials waits for bukkit to release a release build to release their own.
if you want to report a bug, make a ticket.
people need permission for /enchant in order to run it.

One other staff member does, but he hasnt been on in a few days.

Also I just watched another user join the server and started filling his inventory with bedrock, spawneggs, and more armour with enchants while he was standing in spawn

It was a hacked client but I did have nocheat installed, it bypasses nocheat
