First off let me say that I only made this plugin because I was bored and wanted some more practice programming. I made it for the server I play on, RedStrype, and it was built with only the features the servers admins wanted. I am posting it to get feedback on it, and maybe it will be better suited for what you want than some of the more established (and more functional) economies such as iConomy.

Also please note that this economy is not for everyone, as most people will probably want one that is more full featured, but I plan on keeping this one small.

Also if you are starting to write plugins please feel free to look through my code. I'm still a novice myself, but it might be able to help somehow :D

So to sum up this economy in one word: Simple

All your users need to learn are 6 easy commands.

    /buy, /sell, /balance, /pay, /undo, /prices

    Thats it.

    Syntax for these are:
/buy [item name] [amount] or /buy [amount] [item name]
/sell [item name] [amount] or /sell [amount] [item name]
    /pay [player name] [amount]
    /prices [page]

Full info is in the readme which, if you just want to check out more about the plugin, is available for download. This includes (poorly written) situations that display how the plugin behaves, as well as an explanation on how to set it up.

Right now the plugin only uses flatfile (/plugins/CodeRedEconomy/), but I am in the process of adding SQLite support, so forgive me.

Also please note that this is still in heavy development, and is really just an ongoing experiment. There is about a 100% chance that there are still bugs in it, but if you are worried about bugs than you shouldn't even be using bukkit right now ;)

    Example Stats File

v0.8.0: Fixed bugs, most of the SQL code is in there, although its not for use yet.

    v0.0.0->v0.7.1: Work on first release.

I'd like to create a php function who modify the users.txt file, to add or remove money.
What is the long number after the player's balance? Must I modify it to change the player's balance? How?

(Sorry for my english, french guy ;) )

Ahh - that makes sense too! Should of known.

I do have questions about the latest builds. I have this working on b423 but it fails to load on 450 and 456.

    On b423 it states:
"Using the stupidly long constructor com.bukkit.Vandolis.CodeRedEconomy.CodeRedEconomy(PluginLoader, Server, PluginDescriptionFile, File, File, ClassLoader) is no longer recommended. Go nag the plugin author of CodeRedEconomy to remove it! (Nothing is broken, we just like to keep code clean.)"

This constructor may be removed in later builds. dunno

On Build 450 and 456 it states:
Could not load plugins\CodeRedEconomy.jar in plugins: null
    at org.bukkit.plugin.java.JavaPluginLoader.loadPlugin(JavaPluginLoader.java:80)
    at org.bukkit.plugin.SimplePluginManager.loadPlugin(SimplePluginManager.java:129)

    at java.lang.Class.getConstructor(Unknown Source)
    at org.bukkit.plugin.java.JavaPluginLoader.loadPlugin(JavaPluginLoader.java:75)
    ... 8 more

Do you have plans to update this for later versions? I really do like this plug in and would like to continue with it.

so, when will we see an update to work with the latest bukkit builds?

Darn TSLPC, making my console scream at me.

****don't make me have to decompile the release to fix the invalid methods, and remove TSLPC myself... that would be un-cool.

Please do if we do not hear back soon. :)

Try /restock. If that doesn't work sell one item to the store of each item. Then when you see restocking store in the console you should have the items in inventory.

or use -1 for the stock of all items in the store...

I allowed myself to change a little bit CodeRedEconomy.
My kids wanted to be able to properties on different items for each player to simulate asystem start to trade with merchants, etc ...
