Inactive [TP/MISC/FUN] Pinapp v2 - a revolution in multiworld [1060]

    @EdTheLoon @codename_B Russian 3G speeds suck. I'll try getting on IRC but I can't promise it's stable and stuff. Took me 15 minutes just to git clone codename's repo.

    Working great so far. The only real issue I have at the moment is if I hear that fucking portal ZWOOWOOWOO effect one more time I'm going to crush a small animal.

    And yes, I ended up switching to bPermissions. Which makes me wonder how much Banana... is too much Banana.

    this fails when hiting the bottom of the portal with a flint and steel nothing happens (yes i have the config right)

    Did you setup the permission nodes? What permissions plugin are you using? Are you opped? Paste your config file here so I can check it for you, it's highly likely that it does work and you're doing something wrong considering that 100+ people have used this successfully.

  14. Hey there, im interested in your plugin, just a quick question, does this do mob-spawning and day/night the same as any other world does? when generated?

    It doesn't do anything *INSIDE* your worlds. All it does it does *WITH* your worlds as a whole.

    Because slow release is slow release.
    Heh yeah, per world mob management is beyond the scope of this plugin, this plugin just gets you there :p
     
  17. Oh ok thanks a lot :D, do you have any suggestions on what i could use? For time management and mob-spawning in another world?

    WorldGuard > this. WorldGuard should always be > this. WorldGuard does the Guard part, Pinapp does the Portal part. That's my setup anyway.

    Couple of problems:

    1) When Pinapp is loaded, native nether gates stop working.
    2) If I add the nether in the PinApp config, they stop respecting the 1:8 ratio and teleport the player to exact coords.

    Couple of points:
    1) That's a design feature, otherwise nether gates would interfere with the working of this plugin.
    2) That's a design feature, this plugin scales worlds 1:1 - is that such an issue?

    Well yes, I assume in your own server you don't use the nether or maybe you don't care for the normal functionality of the nether (fast travel, etc), but yea that's pretty much a deal breaker. Would be great if the plugin worked on top of rather than replaced the native gate functionality.

    The problem is the task of finding gates if we use scaling techniques. Can't give a reliable portal-portal 100% every time that way.

    If you wanted to contribute code and add scaling to this (I see your dev tag) then you're more than welcome to!
     
  24. Is it possible to import a world into this, or does it always generate new worlds, i already have my skylands ready, i just want portals to it, is that possible?

    Yep. Just set the worldname.

    Also set the environment to skylands, just incase.

    dude i have a problem i set a portal to the skylands in the config i want it to be from glowstone heres my config and the plugin i used for the skylands:

    the problem is everytime i make a glowstone portal and i try to ignite it (right click it with flint and steel) the 2 top blocks disappear! and it also happens when i try to go to the nether plz reply quickly.
