Stopping a plugin without stopping the server

    i browsed and searched through the forums. i did not find anything so i figured i would ask.
    is there a way to stop and delete a plugin without stopping the server?

    The Essentials plugin lets you use the command in game "/plugin pluginname enable/disable/reload".
