    Hello,

    Is it possible to snow to melt in an entire biome just by changing it to a higher temperature biome (ie. Tundra to Desert) or something similar, or do I have to do some clever block change events and such?

    Thanks.

    EDIT: Another thing - can you get the entire biome a person is in, and change the entire thing, without selecting everything with something like WorldEdit?

    Snow will not melt in sunlight, even if the biome is in desert. Simple to test, /give yourself some snow, and place it in a desert, it will stick around. It will melt if there's an artificial light source (torch / glowstone) nearby however.

    Changing the biome to desert (or anything not tundra/taiga) will stop new snow from falling, which you'll want to do if you plan on removing snow from an area permanently (else it'll come back)

    To answer your secondary question, http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/biomeedit/ is supposed to be able to find an entire biome's region.

    You can try my plugin WeatherMan
    It support snow and ice melting after changing "cold" biome to "warm";
    And it has a feature that allows to change entire biome without selecting a area.
