I just installed mcMMO, and I noticed that it made a hammering sound when I repaired an item at an Anvil?

Same similar thing with a Tardis plugin, had it's own sound when teleporting.

So since when could plugins have their own custom sounds? I like it :D

MysteryManX I think you need spout for custom sounds. Also ive seen many plugins use sounds that are in Minecraft... Like a Paintball server using the Ghast sound when someone is eliminated or something..

Nah, I'm running Bukkit, usual plugins like Essentials, WorldEdit etc.

MysteryManX McMMO still uses a iron block as an anvil right? They might of taken the sound from the actual anvil in minecraft..

  5. Yes, mcMMO uses vanilla Minecraft sounds (such as the anvil sounds).

You can change the pitch, length and bass of sounds in minecraft. If you're skilled enough you can pretty much make custom sounds.

No, it's using a completely different sound. I don't have any client side mods (tell a lie, I have TMI, Rei's Minimap, and CameraStudio) that'll affect sounds.
    Even through a plugin?

  8. Trust me, mcMMO uses sounds which are available in the Bukkit API.
    Anvil sound is located here.
