Set Tool Damage Value

Suggested name: SetToolDamage

What I want: The ability to set the damage value for tools with a command.

Ideas for commands: /setdamage <number>

Ideas for permissions: setdamage.use

do you mean "damage dealt by tool to player/mobs" ? or the "Durability (amount of uses)of the tool when used?

 

Say I have a diamond sword, and I want it to have 10 uses left for it to break. I would use the command /setdamage 10, and it would have 10 uses left.

 

I believe it's possible then. Sorry im not smart enough to do anything about it

You cant edit the Damage Value of an Item, but you can give yourself the Item with the Certain Amount of Uses left. You can do this with Vanilla Minecraft even.
If your using Essentials, try this command.
/i (item)amountofdamage) (amount)
(amountofdamage) If how many times it has been used. Notice the Semicolon before the (amountofdamage) value.
