    Hey forum!
My recently sent me the BukkitGUI launcher in order for me to open our server when he isn't around.... however, it won't allow me to open the server. It says the following:

''[GUI] Retrieving your current bukkit version...
[GUI] Your current bukkit version is 1.7.9-R0 (#3108)
[GUI] Starting bukkit server - min. RAM:473 max. RAM:1796
    [GUI] The server is starting...
    [GUI] Server started...
10:49:37 Error occurred during initialization of VM
    [GUI] The server has stopped...''

    Plez Halp.

What do you mean? I am unable to play on the world if it's not GUI, I think?
I could obv. move it to singleplayer, but then I wouldn't get the plugins and my mate would be unable to join.

@MurasakinoHoshi BukkitGUI is a wrapper for the server.
The server has no GUI on its own.
The client is not involved yet.

Alrighty, this is the first time I use the program. So I have no idea what I am doing haha. So how do I run it without GUI?

I will try that. Thank you for your service.

Still didn't fix it. Unless I did something wrong.

What have you tried? What is the output?

Ok. I have tried switching Java version multiple times, with a slight change. At first it couldn't detect my Bukkit version, now it says nothing and just stops. Then we've tried reinstalling it a couple of times, adjusting the min and max ram without luck.
If what you mean by ''What is the output'', it says nothing when I click on ''browse output'' except for the same I copied at the top of the thread.

@MurasakinoHoshi Did you run it through the command in the link that I send? Or only using BukkitGUI?

Well. I did all the steps except for the first one about getting the newest version, since I need it to be able to launch 1.7.10 worlds, but yes. I think I did it all through the GUI. I did make the notepad document with the right text in it whatsoever.'

@MurasakinoHoshi Forget about the GUI for now.
    It might be broken.
The run.bat will not be broken.

    And why 1.7.10?

    Hmm, alright?

I don't like the newer versions, 1.7.10 is my favourite one and we've spent a bunch of hours on the server, so it would be sad to suddenly switch version, right?

@MurasakinoHoshi That is indeed a possible reason.
But have you tried running the run.bat?

What file format does it need to be? Atm it is just an ordinary .txt, which does nothing when opened.

    From the link.

I see the problem with that now. I named the damn file as ''run.bat'', I didn't save the file as ''run.bat''. Imma just do that.

    - Mura

But when I go, ''save as'', it only allows me to save as .txt.

How do I do that? Just googled it, but that doesn't really match what I can.
