Server random lags, not even 1 error in the console!?

Hey guys, my server runs fine for about a few hours, then it lags sooo bad. There is not even 1 error in the console.

My plugins are:

I cannot run a server with 50 players on without any plugins..

It could not be your plugins.
How much ram does your server have?
And does it lag during slower hours?

Also, iconomy is outdated. It just bugs me when people use outdated plugins :3

 

4gb of ram, and no, it lags even with 0 players on, same thing with 60 players on. It has the same ping.

 

Is EnjinMinecraftPlugin synced correctly?
Also, next time you restart the server, instantly type /gc and see if it is at 20.00

 

I deleted EnjinMinecraftplugin about a half an hour ago. The server is up again and has around 60 players. Lets see if it crashes. I will do /gc to.

Move away from Essentials, imo.

 

I highly dought it, essentials isnt even that heavy of a plugin. And its one if not the most used plugin.

 

just remove unwanted plugins.

try putting a backup and removing your plugins.

McDonalds is one of the most used fast food places, doesn't make it lightweight or healthy.

Steer clear of plugins who do "everything".

every each of plugin profiling i saw done for essentials, show its using resources like a medium sized plugin, much less than worldedit/worldguard did.

 

Last time I ran tests, replacing the functionality of essentials with lots of small plugins used over twice as much resources. I should also point out the essentials is 100% modular and use lazy initialization, so anything you don't use is never loaded. </rant>

 

I recommend under 30 plugins, you have 40. (which can also reduce lag)

 

Ok, what version of CraftBukkit are you using?

If you are using the neweset dev or beta version, please back to RB becouse many plugins has problems with 1.3.2.

 

I am using the 1.3.1 RB, I don't plan on uprgrading because my plugins didn't update yet.
I cannot go under 40 plugins, I have reduced it as much as I can, but I need every plugin I have.
Even with 1 player on, I noticed my server has lower ping then the rest.
I just need to fix these crashes ASAP.

 

No. That's not really how it works - unless you're replacing them with bulkier counterparts.

By any chance is your server hosted by vmlweb. If not, contact your hosts and ask them the BOX specifications and how many servers are hosted on your box.

You keep saying ping speeds. Are you meaning legitinate ping speeds, or something else?

Is your connection to your server slow? What is the output of "/gc." It seems like you are complaining that the ping to your server is slower than other servers on your list. A high ping doesn't equate to it being the server that is lagging.

 

Well the ping is kinda higher than the rest of the servers, my server has about 1500 ms, and the other ones have around 1200 ms.
The lag is noticable in game to.
The output of /gc is:
Current TPS= 18
Maximum memory: 4 gb
Allocated memory: 4 gb
Free memory: 2 gb
world: 361 chunks, 8 entities
world_factions: 1947 chunks, 1646 entities
world_creative: 3341 chunks, 338 entities
world_skyblock: 1188 chunks, 4 entities

As im writing this the server is crashing.
No error in console, players just getting end of stream.

 

It might be a bad host. Get something good like MClayer.com or Ramnode.com . They server off of SSDs and have high end CPUs and ram. I have ran more plugins and gotten 20 TPS on their server. It took >2,000 nukes [From IC2] to crash a server on one of their VPS [the 2 gb package in RamNode]. It might also be network related. Who is your host? Can you run a file test? Can you also tell us if you have SFTP so we can see if we can give you directions to better diagnose your problem?

[Let me just add our first test with nukes we used ~1,500 pasted in with WE. It dropped to 15 TPS and came back to 20 within the same min]

Spoke to you in IRC about this.
But i figured I'd post here so everyone knows the issue should be solved.
(He wasn't using MySql with iConomy as needed).
Also said he had over 10,000+ user accounts.
If I'm not mistaken it is the likely cause of the lag.
