Basically, what he's saying is that it's just a website with your server's map. So it's not exactly what you wanted since what you wanted isn't possible without a modified client.
Is it just me or doesn't that picture just look poorly edited? You can see grass and the players hand next to the map.
Yea it won't be in game but you could just minimize MC and put the map on part of your screen, as I was suggesting so it has the same effect. The map updates with player's locations and any markers you add to it constantly so it has the feeling of a mini-map. And no, as you can see by that links, once you get it set up anyone can see it, I suggest having some sort of auto message so players can find the link in-game or something. ^w^Nick^w^ A extra HUD element as minimap is, like some already mentioned, not possible without a client mod. It is, however, possible to use the map item as a minimap (so basicly a map which always centers to your position).
