Hello, I am thinking about switching my server to another host, my host's website has been down for a week and I am having troubles contacting them. So I am trying to decided the best way to setup the new server's hard drives for the best performance. It's going to be running Centos 6.3 on a Xeon E3-1230 and so far I have this. Everything on a 1 TB 7200rpm HDD (/root, /swap, /home). Then Craftbukkit on a 64GB SSD mounted at /craftbukkit. Would this be a good setup? or is there something better? Thanks.
around 12-15 mbps but my question is, what would be the best setup for the hard drives on the new server?
how much ram do you have? I'd recommend just treating the drives as two independent drives. You use the larger, non-ssd as your system drive, and the ssd as your minecraft drive.
