    Everyone using PermissionsEx, Essentials, or anything else besides the regular permissions plugin or PermissionsBukkit should add or change this in their config under the Global section:
    LegacyPermissions: true
    As of 2.4.0 the bPermissions plugin is supported directly.​
    As of 2.3.7 the PermissionsBukkit plugin is supported directly.​
    This support is not done through the new built in Permissions that bukkit provides, because there is no way to get a players group using the built in methods. However, by supporting this directly, you can now use the new permissions system while still keeping Residence, and not having to use old permissions at all anymore.​

    About:
    Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.​

    • Allows players to define protected areas for themselves.
    • Individual permissions for each protected area. Land owner can give / deny permissions globally or to other specific players.
    • Different permissions per land include: move, build, use, pvp, fire, teleport, monsters spawn, damage prevention

    • Added a LeaseAutoRenew config option, that will cause leases to automatically renew so long as the player has the money to do so. Note that, if economy is disabled this doesn't work, as there would be no point to leases. Needs Testing! :)
    • Global FlagPermission config section, that allows you to give permission to use a flag to all groups, useful for the build / move / use flag that you almost definitely want everyone to have access to. Flags under each individual group will overrule these.
    • You can now set a limits on how deep or how high protections can go into the group, using each groups MinHeight and MaxHeight settings.
    • /res select sky, and /res select bedrock commands, these auto adjust to the above mentioned MinHeight and MaxHeight settings, so it won't select into a area you can't protect.
    • Rent system implemented.
    • Many bug fixes, including proper creeper explosion prevention now. Also, fixed some bugs when renaming residences.

  2. Setting a residence will give it the "default" config (wich you change in the config.yml file in the residence folder).

    If you check that file you will find something like this:

    Changing any of those from true to false will make that command/effect etc forbidden.

    For ex, changing "build: true" to "build: false" will set it to not allow breaking and setting blocks.

    If you want to have a residence with different settings but still keep the "default" untouched you have to add the flags yourself.

    For instance, if residence default is set to true and you want to set it to false and the residence name is "area1" you can type: "/res set area1 build false" to stop people from being able to build on that residence but the next created residence will still have building allowed from default.

    I've re-installed, tryed setting it in chat, tryed setting it in config file, nothing works.
    
    Which means: I have tryed that what you said. I used the command, I tryed setting it in the config file, it just doesn't work. People can still build/destroy in the area, when i've set it that they (should not) be able to do that.
     
  4. Since imorgon no psychic I Cant know that your sentence meant all that. But if "i have tryed everything" really mean *everything* then i cant help you. If you on the other hand meant that you've tried everyrhing you could think of, then we can help but need to know exactly what youve tried.

    Since it works for me and you say you've tried all that i guess there is some other plugin integrering. And since i don't know what plugins u use i cant really help there either. But try Without Any other plugin and if it works enable one plugin at a time and youll see which one that bugs it.

    EDIT: This amazing text, I might add, has been infiltraded by my phones swedish autocorrect! Sorry for that. (For instance "I'm" was translated to "imorgon" which means "tomorrow" in Swe ;P)

    I'm using these plugins: WorldEdit, VanishNoPacket, Spout, Residence, RealTeleporter, PlugMan, Pail, PailPlus, OpenInv, NoCheat, LumberJack, Lockette, CraftBukkitUpToDate and CommandBin.

    Everything = all I could think off.

    And it sounded rly cocky lol. Sry

    I'm having issues with my permissions in my config.

    I have the default group set and it works, i've set it so they can make 4 residences up to 40x40.

    However all of the donator group permissions I've set don't work. Everyone is set to the default. Are there permissions nodes I'm supposed to use or...?

    I'm using residence dev 2.5 by bekvon. Here's my first two groups in the config file:

    i have a problem with the admin settings.

    I want to set the owner of a residence, so i type in /res setowner ... and it says "You dont have permission"
    Im OP and i use GroupManager... In GroupManager i have the permission node ´*´ , but im still no "residence admin" WHY?? Plz help!!!

    Hello, I would like to know if there's a way for the money to go to a specified account, I mean when a player buys a residence, the money doesn't go anywhere, also I've created an account with the name of my server "r0x", can I make something to give this money to r0x ?

    Yes it does, but r0x isn't a user, simply an account :) Plus I'm not asking for the sales money to go to an account, I'm asking for the money taken when you create a Residence do stay in the server, at the moment, it just disapears...

    Hi,
    I wonder if i can get some help on this issue.
    We have been using residence for a little while and its been working perfectly.
    However we have just updated to 1.1 and changed to a new map and something isnt quite right.

    The configs havnt changed, there are no errors in the logs , and the /res commands work ok.
    We are able to create residences , but the protection doesnt work...people can still build in the area and also the string doesnt identify a protected area.

    If you need any information please let me know, you are welcome to come onto the server to check for yourself also.

    Check the default flags, have you tried to add some flags with the commands ? Do they work ?
    It could also be because of a new plugin you've installed... What's new on your server since 1.1 ?

    I am trying to make certain groups by default have access to "Build, Use, Container" feature. This means that anyone in the specified group will automatically have access to those features. Lets say Moderators and Citizens?

    How can I do that?

    3 Groups Citizen, Builder, GameMaster
    /res gset blah Citizen build true - returns Invalid Group...

    You probably have 200 set at this part:

    Change it to something bigger. This part says how big residence in each direction you can create.
    If you just read the notes (the ones with a # before them) they actually explain every part quite good.

    If you have admin rights you can just ignore the limits by using /resadmin instead of /res

    You have a lot of errors in the console log. Do you use spout on the server?
