    Everyone using PermissionsEx, Essentials, or anything else besides the regular permissions plugin or PermissionsBukkit should add or change this in their config under the Global section:
    LegacyPermissions: true
    As of 2.4.0 the bPermissions plugin is supported directly.​
    As of 2.3.7 the PermissionsBukkit plugin is supported directly.​
    This support is not done through the new built in Permissions that bukkit provides, because there is no way to get a players group using the built in methods. However, by supporting this directly, you can now use the new permissions system while still keeping Residence, and not having to use old permissions at all anymore.​

    About:
    Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.​
    Features:
    Features (open)

    • Allows players to define protected areas for themselves.
    • Individual permissions for each protected area. Land owner can give / deny permissions globally or to other specific players.
    • Different permissions per land include: move, build, use, pvp, fire, teleport, monsters spawn, damage prevention
    • Support for group permissions on protections.
    • Multi-World support.
    • Teleport system to allow users to teleport to residences.
    • Collision detection system to prevent residences from overlapping.
    • Limits to protected size can be set up by the admin.
    • Limits to number of protected areas per player can be set.
    • Two ways to select land including using the select command, or using a item to select 2 points.
    • Messages when you enter / leave a residence. (customizable)
    • Land "leasing" system which requires users to renew the lease on their protection every X number of days or loose the protection. (off by default, see config file)

    • /res check [residence] [flag] <player> command, this command evaluates if <player> is affected by [flag] at [residence]. You can leave off <player> and it will use your name.
    • Added a LeaseAutoRenew config option, that will cause leases to automatically renew so long as the player has the money to do so. Note that, if economy is disabled this doesn't work, as there would be no point to leases. Needs Testing! :)
    • Global FlagPermission config section, that allows you to give permission to use a flag to all groups, useful for the build / move / use flag that you almost definitely want everyone to have access to. Flags under each individual group will overrule these.
    • You can now set a limits on how deep or how high protections can go into the group, using each groups MinHeight and MaxHeight settings.
    • /res select sky, and /res select bedrock commands, these auto adjust to the above mentioned MinHeight and MaxHeight settings, so it won't select into a area you can't protect.
    • Rent system implemented.
    • Many bug fixes, including proper creeper explosion prevention now. Also, fixed some bugs when renaming residences.
    • New healing flag.
    • The monsters flag has been split up into "animals" and "monsters" now.

    @Kimberly2000 Well, I only deal with plots so I wouldn't know what to do in this situation. I am no longer interested in Residence and am using SimpleRegionMarket for WorldGuard. Had to switch permissions to GroupManager and thats all I had to do. Really good plugin. Better than Residence problem wise.

    EDIT: He has said in previous comments dating awhile back that his saving system may be flawed. Its a waiting game or find something else.

    Any chance you could take over the sign plugin http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/me...rent-buy-sell-land-with-residence-1060.28615/ which apparently isn't current or functional yet seems as a nice plugin.

    Feature Wish:
    When residence period runs out due to lack of player funds, it would be nice if the residence went into foreclosure mode for X number of days awaiting funds rather than simply vanishing.

    Thankyouverymuch for an awesome plugin.

    Las tildes, las "ñ" y los "¿" no son admitidas en el lenguaje YAML. Yo tengo todas las traducciones de mis plugins más o menos adaptadas a un castellano semi-entendible. Pero el no poner tildes y buscar sinónimos para palabras con "Ñ" es un verdadero coñazo y una odisea.

    Los españoles somos negros :/

    i have a big problem . All works good , it havent error in console . but the residences can be destroyes by others player and the game say her that they havent permission , but they can destroy a protected house

  22. If you find an answer to this, please feel free to share it in English so little me can understand it :)

    The prob on the other hand seems to be with the encoding. Stop the server, open the worlds savefile (residence/save/world/res_worldname.yml) in something like notepad++ and change the encoding to UTF-8 from Ansi.

    Worked for me, the problem is that it resaves it as Ansi which mean I have to redo it every time I restart my server (since it keeps working fine as long as the server is running).

    Guess it's just same old, cause so many people have said this, but all the commands work except /res create, it worked until 1.0.1R1 for me, then I just got internal server error.

  25. /res create works for me. The only prob I've had is the prob with the yml-file. And that's only because I used swedish letters (å ä ö) which obviously didn't work very well.

    So You Just Can Claim More Land From 1 Residence Land Without
    Your Residence Land Being A Square (Just Imagine Something Like Faction)
    So You Can Claim From Bedrock/Sky As A Residence Land

    Ideas For The Commands:
    /res AutoClaim (Res-Name)
    /res Claim (Res-Name) << Not To Take Over Other Residence Land Just Expanding

    And Something for Permision Like This

    res.autoclaim
    res.claim

    Hope You Will Add This To The Residence Plugin :p

    Ohya I Almost Forgot for people who may not like it
    becuz they may want a public mine in there Residence zone
    Or Something Else So You Just Can Make (Subzones)
    So You Know It

    Srry but i got a another idea For Residence Like War?
    so you can make War Between 2 Differents Residence Land
    So Pvp Will Be Auto-Turned On In Those 2 Residence Land it Only The Land Itself Can War, Subzones R Safe
    And You Cud Put A Config with (build auto-turning on/off) when somebody making war with a other res land
    And There Will Come A Message 2 When You Do /res war (Res-Name)
    So Hope you Will Do Something With Those Idea's

    And Those Idea's R Not Offical My Idea's Just Idea's I Took From Fac(War = Just Same As /f Enemy\ Only Alot More Better For Rp Servers Example).
    EDIT: You Can Make A /res join (Res-Name), /res open (Res-Name) , /res invite (Res-Name) So Only People Who R In The Residence Who R At War Cud Do The Pvp/Build, So The /res join , /res open, /res invite cud be in Config And Permission So People Who Dont Like It Just Cud Turn Of This Command?? Or Something Like That :p.
    And Make sure (members are not allowed to Build Who R in the Residence) Only If They Buy A Subzone Or Get The Permission Of the Residence Owner

    Help me please!
    When I am default player in my server, I select the two ponints with wooden axe, then use /res create house then /res set house build false. It is OK. Other players did not build my house, but then I can't build my hous too. So I have to use /res removes house then /res confirm so, is there a simpler way?

    Hey, I've set it so I'm the only 1 that can use Residence. I used /resadmin to create it, and it somehow doesn't work. People can still place/destroy things in my Residence. No errors what so ever, it just doesn't work. I've re-installed, tryed setting it in chat, tryed setting it in config file, nothing works. Please help :/
