    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.

    Is it possible to prevent attacking wolves (player owned) from dealing damage in a non-pvp town (hostile mobs are off) or to stop them from attacking?

    Hi i am running a Tekkit server, and i really don't want to have to run it without technic pack, i tried this and it seems i had a few problems, Nuke and other mod explosives caused damage still (really don't want this) and when the nuclear plant explodes it also create large scale damage, I was wondering if there is a way to prevent this other than preventing people using these (nuclear plant is best energy production)

    Sounds great and all. But the mods I have are all Real Life friends that likes to pull pranks on one another. I don't want to let their pranks start in their towns and other player's towns as well. :/ I do have a s-mod group with just a couple people a really trust that I have let build in other towns.

    Would it be possible to set it to where a group can only make towns up to a certain level (ex: they can only have a max # of 1 person join their town)? If not in towny would it be possible some other way? This is vital to my server, please help.
     
  10. We'd need to see your startup log and your permissions.

    The original ability to add assistants to yoru town who we're not residents was actually a bug.

    You can get the same functionality as you have though via setting friends.

    Have the mayor of the start town claim all the townblocks for himself and add all the mayors you want to be able to build there as friends. Setup the plot perms as you want for accessing switches for outsiders etc.

    Open the mayors data file in towny/data/residents/mayorsname.txt.

    Copy the friends enty and the plots entry.

    Set an NPC mayor to the town and paste the copied data into his file.

    Perform a /ta reload

    Now all the mayors you want should be able to build in the town under the friend settings of the NPC mayor.

    Why does towny crash every goddamn time i restart my server.
    Couldn't read CrapTown
    Remove that, Then it goes to a player, then a nation, and it does that forever.
    Only way to fix, Rollback 2 hours.

    Few hours later, restart again, TOWNY does it again.
    Why the hell does it do this, always.

  19. Errors on restarts are nigh zero now. The onyl ones we have seen recently are due to a server crash corrupting data or manually editing files.

    The issue still persists. It started happening after I updated the welcome message for new players in essentials and after I installed EssentialsGEOIP.     Okay, i WANT to add this plugin to my pve server, but we all love bartering, so using an economy plugin like iconomy is out of the question.
    So... What do i do? Making them pay in items for a town creation and stuff is ideal- what options do i have?

    unclaimed_zone_build=true, when I change it to like that it won't work for me anymore. Please I just need a pre-configured file.

    Hi i'm having an issue with player being able to kill their town members. Friendly fire is set to false, so this shouldn't be happening. Any insite to the issue? I was told 0.78.0 fixed this, but after updating players in the same town could still harm each other.

    i dont get it with latest version, i want to allow them to use blocks to switch in wild but not trapdoors. ich i try it with - towny.wild.block.324.switch they cannot use doors if i give them - towny.wild.switch they can switch all blocks... and negation doesnt work.

    i use pex 1.17 an bukkit 1597

    something must be broken, on your wiki the permissions for single blocks is different as in your last config file.

    iConomy 6 has physical currency options. Look into that I guess, that or no charge for starting/spreading a town.


    This'll be fixed asap, keep an eye on the dev build changelog in the irc.

    Block id 324 is not the ingame Door, but the door item when help in a player's hand. Use - towny.wild.block.64.switch instead.

    Pastebin.com the full error or the full startup if the error is part of it.
