    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.

  2. Currently you can't disable it in the wilderness while leaving it on in towns.

    One more question I thought I could make an embassy + shop but it seems like I can only make one or the other?

    It can be done, I think the order of it is thus:
    1) Make it into an embassy plot with /plot set embassy,
    2) have the outsider buy the plot,
    3) the mayor then types /plot set shop.

    If that doesn't work try switching around steps 2 and 3.
  5. Cool plugin..... Almost like factions plugin though but more advanced, I like to use both plugins though, admins can have towns and factions are just for members :) (and admins)

    When I try to make a new town an error comes up saying "you do not have sufficient funds to start a town here" but I have 100000 and the price is set to 250 in the config also I am an op so I should be able to. help.

    Hello towny was working fine and it's completely up to date and we are using register but all of a sudden a few commands like /town claim or just /town are working.. We keep getting that a internal error had occured?

    Updated to newest build, Keep getting this error

    Its not working at all, Can you link me to the release towny.jar right before this one.
    This one wont work no matter what i do

    Fixed by updating my cb to 1337 which i thought i was already on
    Btw: This version of towny breaks older versions of Chestshop

    Hi I have installed towny, and i have the "*" permission node, and yet still all the towny commands, e.g /town, do not work, there are no errors in the console, and the plugin is enabled, and there isn't even an "unknown command" error, what do I do?

    Animals in towns can now only be killed by residents of that town. Unless PVP is enabled.
    Can that be turned on and off? Without the pvp thingy?
    Im having some trouble with mobarena inside a town after that release...

    I know this was a long time ago (probably 5 months ago) when this was said, but is it still inadvisable to give default users 'towny.wild.*' permissions? I remember it was stated users could do "shifty things" to be able to interact with Towny protected town blocks.

    If that's still the case, I have a question about
    towny.wild.block.[block id].* : User is able to edit [block id] in the wild.
    Can I give default users 'towny.wild.block.*.*' to allow all users to interact with all block types in the wild?

    No one else has mentioned this, if you use any eco plugin other than ico 5.01 make sure your plugins are compatible with register (remove everything except register, towny, chestshop and you permission plugin)*

    You ask this same thing every once in a while and I have the same answer, if it supports register it should work, you'll be required to set up the permission nodes for each group and to set up multicurrency just like any other situation, there's no reason it shouldn't work.

    Animals aren't the same thing as monsters, if you set the plots to allow mobspawns with /plot toggle mobs (on each plot in question) there should be no issue, are your players fighting cows or something?

    There are no issue with town protections and giving towny.wild.*, it would include the towny.wild.{blockid}.* nodes any ways.

    * As an extra note to the members that I've flagged, none of you provided any sort of bukkit version, towny version or permissions plugin along with your post, if you want proper help you need to include this information.

    Im fighting wolves and ya cows too :D Got a boss with no melee (cow, and lots of abilities), the cow thing i can live with, but wolves are mean and are nice to rise the difficulty in the arena...
    It seems that wolves even angry wolves are protectet :( That makes the arena pretty hard :D
    It is not the spawning thats the problem, it is that they can't kill wolves :( (give dmg to wolves)

    Hey, could you give an update for 1.9 ? Since they resetted builds (I'm on build 24), and therefore Towny doesn't work :'(
    Can't be to hard I think, If above 200 but below 1337, disable, if under 200 enable. (1 started from build 1337 or higher, so that works.)

    @LlmDl is there anything i could do to stop fire sword (firelords plugin) from damaging people in towns (towny)? Not sure which developer to ask, so I am asking both.

    That's because it was a generalized question. It was an issue when Fuzze ran this. The question was so broad because it encompassed ALL of the versions of this fork.

    When i go back to an older version of the plugin, commands work and the permissions is being picked up

    Sorry im using RB1337, im attempting to use 0.77, and im using Permissions 3.2, sorry for not providing useful info, there are no errors in the console, it just does not repsond at all, and yet the plugin is enabled

    I'm not having errors or anything, but I'm just wondering. I have towny installed fine and everything but I recently switched over to bPermissions, and none of my players could build and then I added the node to fix it, problem being that now they were able to build in wilderness. Is there anyway to fix this?

    You'd have to ask the firelords author to make the fire damage into actual pvp damage.

    Pastebin.com your full server startup, all of the plugins loading.

    bpermissions might have another build permission. If the players dont see a towny message telling them they cannot build/destroy then it's not towny blocking it.

    You probably need register.jar in your plugins folder.

    Is there any way to turn off the regeneration of plots upon deleting a city? I've really tried everything and can't find how, config/world configs etcetc.
