    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    It will add a second layer of permission nodes alongside GM. With townyperms being used properly the only towny nodes you need to give in GM are ones for your moderators, admins and VIPs/donors.

    I only want to use GM for the permissions, I don't want TownyPerms used too.

    Uh, try adding a space between all the : and []

    There is no way to not use townyperms, towny uses it to decide what mayors can do now, along with assistants and kings.

    You should probably learn to use it properly.

    Stop your server, move your server.log out of the craftbukkit directory. Start your server, let it load completely, then stop it. A new server.log will be created, please upload it to http://pastie.org or http://pastebin.com and post the link in the thread.

    So, if I configure permissions in it but only use GM as what gives out the groups / ranks and defines the perms in GM, how would that effect TownyPerms from me not using it? Like, I'm confused :/

    You don't have an economy plugin, go into the towny config.yml and set using_economy: false

    Townyperms is always used, even if you don't use much of it. If you edit the file badly then towny will fail to load.

    Not sure what I am doing wrong but ever since I updated to the latest towny non of my Moderators can build in town areas and I don't think the townyperm I setup in the new config file are working for the ranks either. Before the update my Moderators could build in any town, I have given them the appropriate permissions but still no. Can anyone help?

    I've been informed by one person in our IRC, who as been using the 1.4.2 dev build of craftbukkit with towny, that it works fine. I will be updating tomorrow afternoon.

    Helo all. I'm very needed in Youp help. I am a server admin and I have Towny Advanced installed on a Craftbukkit++ 1.3.2 server. When I create a new town I can expand it by claiming new chunks, but after sometime has passed there is no possibility to claim chunks. When I type /town claim I see that message in the chat:

    Can You help me with my problem?

    I have portal creation disabled (donors get a portal they can use only). Which works well, no portals can be created.. except inside of a town. For some reason portal creation can be done inside of a town region. This is a major issue and i can't seem to fix it.

    What is the expected output? :
    No portal to be made when lit.

    I can't use it. It won't send a request for me, i tired.
    This is a towny issue not a conflict with another plugin, whats the startup going to do.

    Is there a way I can set world guard regions where no one can claim them with Towny?
    Example, I'm switching spawn to a world guard region but I use towny for towns for my other players and they can claim spawn. Any way I can make regions with world guard unclaimable?

    Using WG to protect the spawn works until someone figures out they can use the large-radius claim command to claim into the region.

    Use an NPC town. Read the Mayor section of the How Towny Works wikipage.
    Towny is having trouble asking bperms if your player has the node, are you sure bperms is up to date and working with 1.4.2?

    Urgent, Please help
    last night my server was fine now i am getting this with no warning or change, the server stoped responding i restarted it and now i get this. http://pastebin.com/4M15uxWQ

    Edit: I fixed it by editing the SQL data using MySQL Workbench and deleting the row of the town that caused the error, when looking at the data the entire row, except the town name was blank.

    Looks like your server is out of memory. Just about everything you showed there is erroring.

    Does Littleton already exist and have a mayor? Do you already have a town? What version of towny are you using.

    Just installed Towny Advanced on my 1.4 server. Installation went fine, was going through help files, went to make a town and when using the command to create a town, I keep getting:

    Every time. I checked the log and there's no error. New to running a Minecraft server and not all that familiar with the plugins yet, can't figure it out.

    Ahhh, good catch. I had reinstalled the plugin, but had originally set the using_economy to false during my original attempts. For the PasteBin, I had reinstalled and forgot to update the config. However, I just went in and made the adjustment and when creating a new town I am still getting:

    Is there anyway to disable this horrible "townypermissions" update so it can go back to how it was.
    It is bad enough not having Towny chat because of that bad move, but now this!

    Towns no longer have mayors, users can't leave there towns.
    So how do i disable this feature and forget it ever happened ;I
