    I Have a problem.

    Im running this plugin on tekkit with iconomy and i cant seem to use any of the commands like it doesnt say anything when i use them. can you please help.

    P.S. im new to plugins so i have no clue what half the things are. :(

  8. Yes, it's a stupid question. :p Haha No, just kidding. :)

    Giving permission nodes are a little different depending on what permissions plugin you use. I use PEX (PermissionsEx) for instance which I find works perfectly well.

    The important part to know at the beginning thought is that to use permissions you first need a plugin that handles permissions. PermissionsEx and PermissionsBukkit is two plugins that handles permissions.

    Best way to understand how it works is to pick one of these and read the wiki/guides on their site.
    A quick walkthrough on how PEX works thought is that every permission is added to the permissions file in the PermissionsEx folder in the servers plugins-folder.
    All permissions must be added the same way that the default permissions file in that folder show you.
        - bukkit.worldedit
        - citizens.use.*
    If you check the default permissions file you'll see how they are placed and reading the wiki will give you more info on how to add player groups and different permissions for different worlds (if you'd want to). Most important to know is that you never use tabs, only spaces. The above permissions for instance is 4 spaces, no tabs at all.
    Using tabs in the .yml-files (which are used for permissions and many other plugins configs) will break the plugin.

    I'm at a café atm and quite stressed so this is a quick but kinda messed explaination, but I hope it helped some. :)

    Hi i've got some questions about this mod.. Can anyone help me out?

    1) If im the server owner can i set my town as big as i want?
    2) Can I make a plot of land most likely 15 x 15 blocks for residents to claim?
    3) Can i charge residents to claim for plots of land?
    4) Once a resident claims a plot of land in my city is it auto-matically protected from greifers and there the only ones who can build on it?

    1) Yes (use /ta givebonus TOWNNAME AMOUNT)
    2) you can set the town_block_size: 15 instead of the default 16 (this can be set only once)
    3) yes use /plot fs COST
    4) yes the land owner can control the permission on the land.

    It is possible to create a "service" privates for such buildings as the spawn and so on? buildings which are not considered urban.

  17. Perm nodes do not change every update. The last time they changed was to add extra functionality so you didn't need a hundred nodes to allow building/breaking for 50 block types, which was quite a few months ago.
    This change is again, to allow you greater control. You can now grant each towny command via permissions.
    This is also a beta dev build.

    The error you are getting is because you are using a dev build of Bukkit (which you shouldn't be using) that isn't compatible with the 'release build' of TownyChat..

    You cannot set the size ingame, the size is set in the config and all plots are the same size. The size can only be set once when you begin to use Towny. Putting a plot up for sale is done with /plot fs {optional cost}

    Can you add a to your plugin a diferent type of Assistant? A helper who only can use /plot fs/nfs, /town add/remove PLAYER, and he can't open chest or withdraw money from town bank.

    When they didn't pay the tax, it revert to Unowned, it's not reverting to plot forsale <amount> why is it like this? is there any config for this?

    It doesnt revert to being for sale, so that if a player lost their plot by accident another player cannot buy the property and take all of the previous resident's things. A mayor needs to put it up for sale again first.

  28. After some time my players have talked me into adding Towny into the server, which I have done. I am still working on getting alot of things configured but at the moment chat is a mess. I use essentialschat to format everything and once I starting using Towny at first I was the only one with the tags and everything no one could hear me though. I had added towny.chat.general to my Basic group and their prefixes and everything changed as well...
    The towny channels and chatconfig no offense, if really frakin confusing. I use MV for different worlds and only one of which is using Towny. I dont need half of the tags used nor want them and would like to know how to properly get this configured and work with my server. 5 hours now and I have nothing to show besides a messed up chat.

    This is what I like to implement into Towny chat, and all that is needed from there is the Towny and nation names.

    so I'm having a weird towny problem. Players on my server have been complaining of occasional problems with towny spamming multiple copies of town/plot messages when entering plots. Its happened to both admins with ops and players. It will spam them with multiple messages for awhile. Doesn't help if they log out. then it goes back to normal eventually. There's no NPE thrown in console. Thus far I can't reproduce it myself. Anyone report something similar?
    I'm running towny .80.100 with chat .31 in 1.3.1 RB1.0.

    To clarify that bug, it spams the town name on every block the player steps on in the town. Not just every plot, every block.

    Hello ive also got a problem with the Safe mode first it said in the console that there was something wrong with my town that he couldnt load it soo i deleted it in the data folder but it still syas locked i also tried to the worl.txt document because a nother guy said that maybe the worlds where failing but this didnt work also so maybe someone nos the problem?? I really need help!

    For some reason only OP'ed players go into global chat? Other players remain without a channel --- In config it said CraftIRCtag=admin ... how to disable that?
