    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.

    Not a clue, but you should make sure to tell your players to update their clients to MC 1.2.5. Players using 1.2.4 can no longer join 1.2.5 servers.

    That is making my server unusable...and even if I delete the file it says it can't load, then another random file becomes the problem.

    What is it?

    Your Towny data got corrupted, join the IRC. Also update your towny.

    Well that's odd, why would they hard code that? So it has to be change in the class files.?

    Can I edit it myself and can you tell me what file it would be in.

    Your permission file is all messed up, I'd suggest you go learn how to use it from which ever site you downloaded it from.
    In the future put anything like that on pastebin.com. Putting in on the forum like you did removes the parsing, making it difficult to read it.

    I don't know where it's found sorry.

    Nations still need to be fixed! When a town is deleted from the database, the nation files do not reflect this change and Towny crashes. Towny will not work again until the town or governor is deleted in the nations file.

    I have taken steps to disable nations, but I feel that having the nations feature would be beneficial to gameplay in many ways. This issue has occurred several times in my server and I have found that other servers are experiencing this as well. If this issue is addressed it would allow server owners to use the nations feature without worrying that it will eventually crash their server.

    Im trying to make it where players can only break certain blocks, leaves, vines, and mushrooms and i have settings setup correctly and ingame /townyworld shows those id's but they still cant break them. and i have no other protection plugin http://pastebin.com/6y0nDdd0

    The permission nodes super-cede the world files if your config has using_permissions: true.

    Pastebin.com the following:

    - permission file
    - towny config

    File a ticket with the exact steps for reproducing this. Also, since you didn't include a startup or your version numbers we have no idea what version your bug is in.

    There's no way to disable seeing a chat channel, if you have the node for it you will see it and be able to chat in it.

    There's already a suggestion on the tracker for this.

    You showed me that already and I couldn't find anything amiss. You shouldn't be giving players who aren't mods/admins the towny.claimed nodes btw.

    Could you please help me?
    My towny has been working fine for a few days, then just this morning, my server ran out of space because of all the backups, so I deleted the ones from 2 days ago. Then, it was still having errors such as "couldn't read town or resident or nation or world data of blah blah" so I used a backup from yesterday that was a working one because I was online at the time when it did the backup. So I loaded the backup and now it's having a different error. I tried re-installing Towny.jar as well.

    I am using 1.2.5 R3.0 and the latest Towny.jar from Palmer Games.

    Useless post. Ignored.

    Pastebin.com the full server startup please. You could also turn on debug mode for me in the config.

    Using groupmanager and towny will always work, 100%. GM also supports all plugins and has all permission-plugin features and more.

    I wanted to use a plugin that only work with pex, so i change bukkitpermission to it, but since this problem i redo all the work i have done until is fixed.

    Also, a couple of suggestions:
    Can the force-pvp be
    true (always pvp on in all towns),
    false (always pvp off in all towns),
    an none (user can modify their towns as they like)?

    A way to admins set
    a "sanctuary" town: A town with pvp off (or on) regardless the forcepvp value.
    if a town has upkeep or not without the need of edit the town file or mysql
    view the permission of any a plot, and change it.

    A way to mayors view the permission of a plot from their city.

    A permission node to dis/allow a owner of a plot change their pvp flag or add a custom cooldown for do it

    When force pvp = true, then its on in all towns. When forcepvp = false, it is adjustable by mayors with the permission node towny.town.toggle.pvp
    go to the How Towny Works wikipage and read the mayor section
    they use /plot perm
    towny.town.toggle.pvp

    Bytheway the report was fake 'Someone report it, not me :D I just check it on my online server and yes there is problem and I know it now the problem is because I sent the old towny settings and permissions', I think it because my server is out of dated 'On IDC' (I think the server files I sent to IDC was the old one, not the newest one because I already check the newest one on the computer and there is no problem about it)

    Oh, seems to be a fixed bug with the permissions that you can change the pvp status regardless of the node and i missed the changelog.

    still having to edit the towny data to exclude a town from the upkeep.

    I am having members report to me that some of their town plots are randomly being unclaimed and in some cases regen'd back to seed standard. I cannot for the life of me determine what is causing it. Is anyone else having this issue?

    NOT using revert on unclaim.
    On latest RB of craftbukkit.

    Using MySql with towny. I have seen no errors in the logs, but thats not to say they are not there with me just missing them.
