    When I denied build/destroy by default in my zones file, it stopped players from building / destroying in the etire world. (when no zones had been setup)

    Is there a default 'whole world zone' that I need to give permission to? basically i want permission to build / destroy disabled in zones, but not in areas that have not been defined.

    Wow, you're awesome. It worked perfectly.
    Never tought Windows could do something that Linux can't ;)

    The transfer to Epic Zones went very smoothly. My player didnt even notice it. :)

    Two small thing.
    The /who command doesnt work. It keeps telling me the syntax
    My console get spammed with "plugin cancelled start break event"

    Is it normal on 0.16?

    EpicZones just exploded -everywhere-.

    Apparently when you create a new world with Multiverse, EpicZones throws a huge hissyfit and it relates to borders. A reboot to the server fixes it but I just thought you'd like to know. Here's one of the errors for your viewing pleasure.

    for some reason /zone create [name] doesn't work for me, if i do /zone create arena, it just prints the /zone create help info.
    I am Admin, and have the epiczones.admin permission
    I am an OP
    Anyone who can explain what i might be doing wrong? there are no errors at all in the console

    Turns out it was set to use GroupManager for permissions? i changed it to Permissions, since that is what i'm using.
    You should update the first post to include the info that you need to specify the permission system you use in the config.

    I'm having a little issues with creating a zone. These are the steps I take.

    /zone create coliseum
    Then I select 4 points with a stick going clockwise.
    /zone save
    /zone name coliseum
    /zone save
    /zone exit

    Then I do /zone info coliseum and it says Coliseum, zone type: circle or round (forgot exactly), radius:0

    Why is it trying to create a round zone? Because of this what I am trying to do inside the zone isn't working.

    Just an fyi that I have not had any similar problems with NetherGate (not pushing NG over MV, just noting that they must be doing something different internally as they relate to EZ). I've created & removed worlds without any EZ issues -- I even had zones setup before the world was created, and when the world came up the zones were in force immediately.

    I had a similar issue and found that it works better if you start at the NW-most coordinate and go clock-wise from there.

    Hey, I was wondering. I want my world to be non pvp except for a zone I made with this plug in. I made the zone and turn pvp on, but how do i turn pvp off everywhere else? If someone could reply or send me a message, that would be great! :D

    I know I did not start from the most NW point, but same thing happens if I do. I still get a Shape: Circle with Radius: 0 when done.

    I manually re-ordered the entry in my zones.txt file once when I didn't have the time to troubleshoot the wand process. I just rearranged the coordinates starting with the highest North value (as per the previous zones in the file). I haven't created a new zone since the Bukkit 522 update though, so I'll test this out and see if I'm having similar issues.

    You need to create one large "world" zone with PVP disabled and then create your PVP-enabled zone inside of it.

    Do you know if there is a way to create a zone that would cover the whole world whitout having to select this zone manually ?

    I had asked for this feature as well. Right now I use a circular zone with a very large radius. Not the ultimate solution, but workable.

    Could you please provide me an example of a circular zone from your Zones.txt ? I'm not sure I got the way circular zone worked.

    The coordinates are the spawn point in each world and the "2000" afterward is the radius of the circle

    Hi everyone, I am new to the whole server hosting scene. I have been a admin for a while (in another server). But i decided to use bukkit for my server. I installed this plugin, bu am not sure exactly how to setup the protection zones... it appears to work fine... but i dont know how to set the points. In the old server, we had cuboid and we just right clicked the blocks with a shovel to make the cuboid... but i understand that this is way more advanced... can any one give me some tips, help or reference material...

    I would really appreciate it.

    I would describe the process to you, but what I'd write would look a lot like the "Creating Zones in Game" section at the top of each page. ^^^ [​IMG] You can configure pretty much everything in-game, but I prefer to set the coordinates in game (right-click with at stick) and then set everything else with a text editor. The plugin gives you a sample zones.txt, and my own sample is just a couple posts above, as well.

    It is really easy to use, and quite powerful. Don't forget that you can use parent/child zones to inherit properties.

    Hello, I seem to have a problem with EpicZones. I really want to use it as it allows for polygonal regions and I can utilize child areas. Unfortunately it isn't working on my server. I receive no errors in the console, the plugin simply doesn't load. I'm running the following:
    -Essentials (latest Version)
    -Permissions (2.5.4)
    -GroupManager (1.0alpha3)
    -CraftBukkit 527

    I saw that the plugin is recommended for CBVers493, does it only work with 493 or has it been reported to work with higher versions such as 527? Any ideas as of to why this is simply not loading?

    Why have Permissions and GroupManager? Why don't choose one (GroupManager have FakePermissions for Permissions support)
    Otherwise, EpicZones 0.18 work with Craftbukkit #531 (last recommended).

    A question… I use Essentials and Epiczone, and has it a method to use /who from Essentials and not that one from EpicZone ?

    Epic Zones is great, however a couple of features could make it truelly EPIC.

    More Permissions nodes.

    A default 'whole world' zone.

    Ability to add 'owners' to a zone, to allow them access to manage the zone (and allow them build rights when default is build.deny)
    Ability for 'owners' to add allowed players to their zone.

    okay, when i type " /zone create [some type of name here]" it shows me the generic example. why is it doing that... in the instructions, it says that i will then switch to draw mode, but that is not happening.

    Here is the CMD text, please tell me if there is any issues or conflicting plugins:

    Here's an example of what I do:

    /zone create TestZoneTag
    Zone Created. Start drawing your zone with zone edit tool.
    Type /zone save when you are done drawing.
    using the stick and moving in a clockwise direction, I will r-click some points that define a zone.
    Point 42:-8 added to zone
    Point 44:-1 added to zone
    Point 35:1 added to zone
    Point 34:-10 added to zone
    /zone save
    Drawing Complete. It's reccomended (sic) you set the name of your zone now with /zone name [value], or type /zone for more options.
    /zone name TestZone
    Zone Updated. Name set to: TestZone
    at this point, you could set the other properties for the zone. I like to edit the zone.txt file instead.
    /zone save
    Zone Saved.
    edit the zones.txt file if necessary
    /reloadez (to reload the zones.txt file)


    if you're not able to issue the above commands, there may be a permissions issue. I give Moderators 'epiczones.*'

    I see the 'could not find file' error for EpicZones. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but you might want to at least put the sample zones.txt file in the epiczones directory so that you can test the system.

    The thing is, shouldn't i be able to access it with admin permission? because, In the permissions admins have * - doesn't that meant all access?

    I love the plugin, just have a few reccomendations.

    If you could do /zone flag protect true to make it so only allowed players could build or destroy in that zone, then that would be great. You could add or remove players from that zone's whitelist with /zone allow|disallow <player>

    Also, a restricted area feature would be great, for example, if I did /zone flag restrict true then only players on the whitelist would be able to enter.

    I know you can already do this by editing the permissions config, but I would love to be able to change this in game.
