Possible to kill friends with serrated blades coop adventuring with pvp off. I've asked a few times why people can still damage each other. Will this be fixed?
I highly suggest making things more editable as I have some stuff such as the anvil I would like to change to something else and etc more config stuff I really think it should be done soon as I love your plugin and have been using it since 1.0 and everyone on my server does also but they also complain on this stuff of items and messages not being able to be changed well thank you for reading my suggestion hope to see it soon.

P.S. Nossr, did you get a chance to read over the Level & Trait idea I pmed you?
What version of the plugin are you running? The error log seems to be indicative of you not running the latest version but instead version 1.0.03 or earlier. Try upgrading to 1.0.07 and see if it still happens.
We're having problems with Serrated Strike. We have one class on our server (Hero) that has the essentials.protect.pvp. The way I understand it, a player takes damage only if both players involved in the fight have the essentials.protect.pvp permission. However, when a hero attacks a mob with serrated strike, any surrounding players take damage regardless of their permissions. Is this a bug in MCMMO or is it a configuration error?
If you take away permissions to the repair skill for a user, does it make them not able to repair in general? Or are they allowed to repair, but don't get exp and can't use the repair skills?

Max PL is all skills added up. 1000 is cap i believe for each skill

i would like to run mcmmo in mysql mode from my hosting companys database. my config is set up as follows
now through my hosting company i used myphpadmin to create a new database called minecraft then added the user:example and the password:example with full permissions/access and the site name is example.com.au (obviously i have replaced private information with example)
and thanks in advance to anyway that can tell me what iam doing wrong?

I posted this as a pm to Nossr, but what does everyone think about this idea:
In most Table-Top RPG games the player has stats like Strength, Speed, Health, Wisdom, and Charisma. I think they would be a great edition to the plugin, and here is why.
Strength: Perhaps a higher strength will be needed to wield heavier tools and weapons and wear heavier armor. Encumbrance can even be used that allows a player a certain length of time to wear that heavy armor, before he gets too tired and needs to unequipped it or takes damage.
Speed: This is good for traveling at a higher walk rate, and to cover more ground in a shorter time. Perhaps increased jumps, etc.
Health: The higher this stat is, the higher your hearts(HP) are, and more immune to poisons . Yes, I know that it may be difficult to add more hearts, however if you have 25 HP, the first 5 points of damage does not need to show up in hearts. You could also add the HP amount next to the name:

Wisdom: Wisdom is a tricky trait because it mainly effects skills, experience points, and magic. You already have an awesome skill system in place, and there is no magic system created yet, although I have a few ideas for that if you want. So, I'm really not sure how you can even implement this trait yet.
Charisma: This trait however has no real use with MC unfortunately. The only way I can think of this working is mainly with Mobs. The lower this is, the less likely you are to be fought by mobs because your as ugly as they are. This is another trait I am not sure how to implement, other then for cosmetic reasons. Persuasion, Influence, and Intimidation, are they only things this trait really effects, and I am not sure how that could be useful in MC. But if you can think of something, that would be great.
The Level System

The levels themselves would effect the above traits. the higher your level is, the higher these traits get. What would really kick this up a notch (no pun intended) is when a player reached his/her next level, they are given a choice of which trait they wanted to increase. This would be good so that not all level 3 players would have the same trait abilities, etc.

sounds good, one thing i definately want is to have a iconomy based skill charge configurable from config e.g you have the exp to gain lvl 5 swords but to actualy get the skill you need to pay for training and the cost could go up incrementaly bassed on your skill level like base cost plus cost increment times level. please note that money2xp doesnt do this as i made the mistake of thinking, money2xp is for buying skills with cash not, what iam after. after credit sinks that dont let people get ahead becuase there rich.
Sounds awesome! But also sounds like work for another plugin.
Often times with shared hosting your mySQL database server is not going to be your website URL. I would look there first. You may email their tech support to ask them what your database server is. Also if you are using the user "root" to login to your database you should probably utilize a different login as that one is generally reserved for full access admin type stuff.
Do you have the minecraft server and your website running on the same machine? If not then that may be an additional problem as hosting companies sometimes do not allow services outside of your web site to access the local mysql database. You'd need to check with them regarding that.
They would not be able to repair. Since repairing is the only way to gain XP for the repair skill, they also would not be able to gain XP for the repair skill.
What version of Permissions and mcMMO is being used?
Well, even if another plugin had these features, it would not be a completed plugin without skills.

Can you give the actual version numbers? nossr50 is in the middle of a move and if he comes back to this thread in a few days then "Latest available" might be a newer version of Permissions. Then he has to look at the date/time stamp of your post and look at the Permissions change log to find out when it was updated. It's usually better to provide the version number instead of "Latest available".
Also if you can recall any events that happened at the time that may have triggered this that could help.
That's what I have been waiting for too. Currently I am using Uquest, but it is more of a itemfetch=questreward type plugin. Both Citizen and NPCx are not planning to work on quest system anytime soon either. Hopefully someone creates a good one soon that uses actual events.
every member is getting the "you ready/lower your axe" message, even they dont have the permissions for abilitys! (permissions 2.7, mcmmo 1.007).
how can i put that off?
Since i started using the 1 + versions my log is spammed with tons of these error messages, the plugin doesnt work and and mysql is set to false. using cb740 SEVERE] Could not pass event PLAYER_JOIN to mcMMO

Alright guys, I can only access internet by going to my Dad's atm so I'll be slow to reply for a month or two. I'll be putting out a patch/tweak update for mcMMO sometime this week, I'll try to make it a good one.

How is it possible to remove permissions from certain groups? This isn't working.. can anyone help?
I believe permissions have to be inside single quotes.
Separate names with a comma.
