    @sintri There's a lot changed up 556, mcMMO will update with the next recommended CB build. Right now mcMMO is only guaranteed to work against 556

    Yea, pretty much figured, no one else really has bothered updating, so really was a choice between a slightly bugged out transportation system + everything working or a working transportation system and everything else not. Seems transportation won :p Just whenever you get to it.

    I just wanted to point out a quick bug.

    The when using /herbalism to get more information on the skill. It always says the food healing+ level is 1, no matter what level herbalism you have. The skill itself still works and at higher levels heals the correct amount, but does not display the info correctly. Which should be 1 at lvl 50, 2 at lvl 150, 3 at lvl 250, etc etc.

    Also wanted to state I have been following this plugin for a few weeks now and I have to commend you for your excellent plug-in and also your excellent work on fixing bugs quickly and effectively.

    I'd like to ask, if you could change the plug in, so that you can set the leveling speed for each action differently for every class. That means if you're a miner your mining skill improves faster then your hitting skill.

    There's going to be many PVP balance changes in 0.9.11 and Repair is also getting an overhaul. And the way XP is gained from monsters is also being changed. It will be quite the update.

    found users abusing another bug :D

    spawn-protection, there was exposed iron, double drops would happen as well as XP gains, block never goes away. works for all block types.

    Got a question.

    I was on the server today to see whats happening, and noticed that mcMMO did not work at all, but did load up and sent the MOTD, I couldnt get the /mcmmo or /mmo command to work, and so I restarted the server.

    I have not done any updates since I last had it working, and in fact, did nothing to the server for a couple days.
    I do not receive any new errors, and nothing seems to be disabled.

    Could you help with this one?

    I had a question regaurding the config file. My MCMMO is setup and working correctly. Just wanted to verify some settings:

    What is the difference between xpGainMultiplier and globalxpModifier (if you change both to 3 do they basically cancel each other out?)

    Do all the settings with multipler mean you want a bigger number to gain faster? Where as all values with the world Modifier (archeryxpmodifer) you want smaller values to level faster?

    To level crazy fast you would use xpgainmultiplier 10, and the globalmodifer and archeryxpmodifer, etc, etc, at 1?

    Also can you set a modifer below 1? Like 0.5? Most of my adjustments are to the axe,sword,archer,unarmed xpgains because I felt it took too long to level since you can only fight about 10-15 mobs per night. And that would only give you 1 level.

    Final question: Is anyone have issues with the PvP? I have the plugin-installed, I only enabled the skills, activities and motd. I didn't want the chat, party, or teleporting parts. Right now there is no pvp dmg, I can't attack another player with any weapon. There is also saying there is no command at /pvp . My properties file does say pvp=true. Is there any commands to start a duel or something to enable it?

    I have two ideas.


    Have you considered a tanking profession?
    I think of it this way:

    Reaper Profession:
    Tool: Sickle
    Gain Experience By: Taking Damage
    Effects: Take less damage when wielding sickle.
    Other Effects: Invincibility from lava damage (let me explain first)
    Special Ability: Total invincibility from everything, CAN NOT deal damage during this period.

    Why I think this would work:

    The Reaper profession takes place as a tank. They can take massive amounts of damage, but in place deal very little. Their goal is to survive long enough so that the enemy dies because of a massive number of attacks, instead of short powerful ones. The sickle never becomes more powerful, rather, over time damage goes down. At level 1,000 they take only 10% of all damage. Starting at level 750, they will not take damage from lava at all.

    Why does this work?

    You see, the tank will have THREE main weaknesses.

    1. Fire
    2. Counterattack
    3. Critical Hits

    One. Fire. Fire keeps it's constant 1/2 heart per second bonus, regardless of armor. This is (relatively) a really fast way to kill a tank. This gives archer a decent way to deal damage to them, by igniting them. It also makes the invulnerability to lava damage mean something, seeing as you can only swim for about 20 seconds maximum in the lava. You can't pull food out to eat, as that would mean switching away from your sickle. If the sickle was off, lava would instantly do full damage, meaning that it would instantly kill the player. I also suggest a timer on the sickle, like it takes one second for the tank to ready itself once it switches to the sickle. After that one second the damage reduction begins. That prevents switching between lava strokes.

    Two. Counterattack. I suggest a minimum of 1/2 damage for every successful counter attack. This means that every time the tank hits the swordsman and is countered, they take 1/2 heart of damage. This balances it a bit towards swordsmen.

    Three. Critical Hits. Critical hits will be the equivalent of regular axe damage on a tank. Makes things a bit fair.

    Now, to explain the idea behind the ability.

    Pure invincibility seems a bit OP. But the way this one would work would be as follows:

    One. The time it lasts depends on your level. At level 0 you can't use the ability. At level 100 you unlock it, and it has a one second effect. It goes to 2 seconds at level 500, and 3 seconds at level 1000.

    Two. It is effected by the tool equipped. Wearing a wooden tool will not effect the timer. Wearing an stone tool gives you one extra second. Wearing an iron tool gives you two extra seconds. Wearing a diamond tool gives you 3 extra seconds. Wearing a gold tool gives you 5 extra seconds. Cool down will always be 300 seconds, regardless of time.

    Three. It is PURE invincibility. You do not take damage from drowning. You do not take fire damage. You ignore arrow effects. You do not take fall damage. That's why it's useful at level 100 with wooden tools. You time it correctly and you survive any fall. You fail at timing, and you die.

    Four. Switching your equipped item instantly ends the skill. No exceptions.

    Five. You can't deal damage. Suck it up instead.

    So that's my first idea. A tanking class. One that could swim through lava for a short period of time. Charge into enemy lines to get to them without problems.

    Here's my second idea.

    The taste of 1000. At level 42, your stat acts like it would at level 1000. It gives you a small taste of power, as an incentive to get to higher levels. As soon as you hit 43 it resumes the normal pattern and your pure uberness is lost.

    Those are my ideas. Hope you like 'em.

    One recommendation I would like to give is that Axes get increased damage at interval skills levels like Unarmed. Both Unarmed and Axes do very little damage at levels less then 500. Swords can just destroy compared to Axes early on. If the Axe got bonus damage like Unarmed spread out in the early levels, rather then just at 500 it would be more fun to level up.

    In mcmmo.properties file, look for /stats=stats. Change it to the following.


    Then, when you type /skills in game, it'll do what /stats is supposed to do.

    Any way you could toss in additive skill editing for admins for .11? That is, a way to just grant players xp or levels to a given skill, instead of setting the level outright. This would be a lot of fun and awesome in conjunction with other mods.
    I'm thinking xp bonus rewards from the Stats & Achievements mod (as it now supports console commands), a way for industrious players to boost other skills by purchasing with Command iConomy, and a whole buncha other things with that scripting mod (special xp rewards for dungeons or puzzles or whatever).

    Rather interesting bug.
    If you go to a no-pvp zone and fire arrows directly up, they will not harm you (except for burning) but you'll level up in archery extremely fast.
    When trying this on my server, I got to level 80 in 10 minutes..

    You shouldn't get exp for hitting yourself, and only get exp when your target is hurt (again to do with no-pvp zones or worlds)

    May I confess my undieing love for you(r plugin)?

    I do have a small suggestion:
    - Magic

    All other magic/rune plugins are WAY overpowered, it would be nice if I could add a Mage class with some basic magic. fireball/magicarrow, a few hearths healing, spawn one single mob, stuff like that. All with cooldown time ofcourse.

    Any other supporters for this idea?

    I could also ramble about Quests and NPCs, but adding magic would really make my server happy.

    9.10 did not fix the essentials.chat conflicts, but I'm using iChat now, works perfectly. I probebly will have to dump essentials anyway... is has a way of conflicting with everything.
