Rotating a Block

Thing have been busy lately with the problems involving Bukkit and Mojang, but as such life on Bukkit.org moves on, and I'm here today to ask my fellow coders a (hopefully) simple question :)

Over the last week or so, I have been developing a plugin that involves moving large numbers of blocks from one location to another, while yet holding on to the block data.
Today I started working on a function to rotate a group of blocks around a given point, but for the life of me I can't figure out any concise, or even complex method of rotating all the "rotatable" blocks by 90 degrees. (I was able to move them all to the proper locations, but the blocks themselves are not oriented properly, eg., redstone repeater facing the wrong direction)

Please don't ask for the code, as what I currently have is unrelated to the problem and will likely just cause confusions.

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the link :)
I had actually just read that thread, and I think I can solve the problem from here.
