I am requesting a plugins that will query my phpbb3 database for a player of the same name, then, based on that players forum group, would be able to update GroupManager/Permission to suit. Example: Player AwesomeGuy joins server. Player AwesomeGuy sees that the server has forum. Player AwesomeGuy registers on forum as AwesomeGuy. Forum assigns AwesomeGuy "Member" rank after confirming email address. Player AwesomeGuy gains "Member" rank in game automatically. If this is already available through another plugin, I apologize, however I was unable to find a plugin that did such, only those which added players to whitelists via forum groups.
I haven't gone that far but I was running into the same issue. I have however added functionality via a plugin to modify a user's group from within game. I do plan on expanding this plugin further. PermissionsPlus Hope this helps!
