[REQUEST] LazerTag-DEV - FOUND DEV

Suggested name: Lazer Tag

What I want: I'd like for somebody to make a Plugin for the game lazer tag. Lazer tag is a minigame were people have a lazer gun and the point of the game is to get the most kill/points during the ammount of time. There are also a few powerups that i do not really need but if you can make it that would be great.The Power Ups are Invincibility for a min or so, rapid fire, and spy[change colour to the other team]. You lose these power ups after you die or after 2min. The lazer gun is supposed to be like a lazer pointer but if you cant do that then just make it shoot something to represent a lazer. Its a Team Deathmatch mode.
Features that I need:
-Join Signs
-ScoreBoard telling the score and time
-Points [Upgrading Gun to shoot faster and have more ammo
-VIP Perks [Join Full Games+Get Double Points]
-Prefix to be [MC-LazerTag]
-GUI to choose team[Blue or Red]


Sign Format:
[LazerTag]
[Join]/[InGame]/[Full]
<mapname>
<playersingame>/<maxplayers>


Ideas for commands: /lazertag buy [Gun] /lazertag join [Arena]

Ideas for permissions: lazertag.join, lazertag.joinfull, lazertag.doublepoints, lazertag.default, etc
When I'd like it by: Christmas If Possible Or New Year

 

What item emulates the laser pointer? More so, how do you plan on making the beam of light?

IDK what block/item can act as a lazer pointer but i would prefer it to be a snowball and i am looking into it
I just saw a video and i think you cannot make a lazer/ beam with minecraft items so i am thinking for it to shoot out a paintball which will be a lazer with a texture pack that i will make and a stick or hoe as one of the guns

 

Could do a hoe shooting a firework similar to QuakeCraft.

You have no idea how much it'd lag, then resource packs. The audio would be annoying too.. A horizontal beacon beam would be better, don't think that's possible though.

 

I dont think it would give any lag because quakecraft does the samething and it is fine!

 

Have you ever played Quakecraft on Hypixel? It doesn't lag at all, although I'm fairly certain that the only time the firework appears is whenever you launch it and whenever it lands. The rest is just particle effects in a straight line.

So you basically want a plugin that copies Hypixel's paintball server, except called LazerTag instead?

The only thing that I see that isn't copying hypixel is the guns.

Anyway, you can do this using a plugin called skript. I am currently making my own server similar to this request, however I will not release the skript to the public.

 

ok i will try and see if it works and good but it would still be easier for somebody to make the plugin because i am not good at coding and plugin stuff! But thanks anyway for the plugin i will look into it

I don't think it's fair for players to be forced to turn off their sounds.

The firework does, but beacons would be very laggy, that's why so many servers have them banned.

The lag is not the issue right now, the real issue is if anybody is avalible to make this type of plugin. Later on, we will deal with the lag

 

You want a plugin that just lags? That nobody will play on bc of the lag. I love posts like this..

 

well laggy or not i will still need this plugin and then i will find someway to make it no laggy

 

It doesn't work like that.. You can't buy a crap car and expect to be able to make it the fastest car ever.

Make a item disguised by a texture pack as a weapon then make it shoot arrows that are edited by a texture pack to look like red light beams.

 

GENIUS IDEA! Its a great and perfect idea plus it wont make the game "lag" and will actually look like LazerTag with the texture pack, wont be hard to make the texture/resource pack.
Now comes the hard part, finding a developer to code this plugin?!

I think this is a great idea for a minigame for all people! But sorry cause im not a coder...

 

Phew. Good to know that its note only me that needs this plugin!
But we still don't have any developers, if there is one looking through this request can u try atleast to code this plugin? And i understand that coding takes a lot of time but i need this plugin, bad!

I guess you can say that it is creative but ik its a very big plugin so not many developers will be willing to make this plugin
