With the release of 1.8 bringing /gamemode to ops, I was wondering if it would be easy or possible for someone to make a plugin which selectively gives those features. For example, and I'll use permissions here: -Give my player group a node which allows them to use the built-in creative mode's FLY - and ONLY fly. -Give mods a node which allows them to use creative mode and toggle it on/off with a command. Flying would be inherited from players. Used in conjunction with CFBanner and NoCheat, we could have legitimate flying, NO speed boosting, and no cheating. What do you think?
I guess if you disabled invintory access if you dont have a certain perm, but the blocks in the hot tab are infinite.
Only fly is probably not possible... There is API to change the gamemode. SO a command with permissions support for that could be made...
Forgive my ignorance, but it'd be much more helpful to be directed to where this should go than just posting your disapproval.
