I'm not sure this has been done or not, but I havn't seen it around. Tried googling. The idea was that Minecraft would run on a currency of time. I got this idea from the movie 'inTime'. That would help sum up the concept. My initial thoughts: -Anyone who joins a server gets 60 minutes of time (for example) -Mining, selling, doing stuff gives you time (seconds/minutes/hours/days) -Implement with iConomy maybe so people can buy and sell stuff through it using their 'available time' -Possible trade amounts of time with each other -(MAYBE, SUCKISH IDEA) Damage could be time itself, no need for health -Of course, if your time runs out. Permadeath or something like that could be implemented. My thoughts on this is that it sounds exciting, and puts in a little bit more 'pressuring' feel into Mincraft I hope someone can feed me some input whether this is possible or not
@zia1337 This is most certainly possible. I will have a look into it - It seems like a very cool idea!
@polaris120990 Is it actually possible to implement the time currency as health as well? I mean, if people get killed by creepers. The idea of time would just be ignored. Since they've died from other means. But it's a concept i thought would be pretty cool
Cool idea If I were to do I would use my own Economy plugin i'm working on for the Economy bits. (maybe) If no one does it I will for sure do it @polaris120990 Good luck on it, if need any help just ask
@zia1337 It is going pretty good so far, I have been busy so I have not been able to devote too much time to it, but I am making progress.
@polaris120990 Ahh that's great man! I understand if you don't have much time. No rush or anything @polaris120990 I might be asking too much But, would it be possible to display the time above the player? in like --> 00:00:00:00:00 // years:months:days:hours:seconds I think this might be possible but I don't know how far a mod can go :< EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Not without Spout. And if you want it to be live and count down every second that might use quite some CPU.
