Minecraft 1.6 is going to be released some time this week. As pretty much everyone already knows, it is going to remove the effect where minecarts in motion cause adjacent minecarts to accelerate. SO since me and most of my players actually kinda like our cart boosters, I thought now would be as good a time as any to request - or, at least inquire whether it would even be possible to create - a plugin that would re-implement the same cart behavior. As far as details for how this would work, pretty much as close as possible to how they currently work, where for minecarts on adjacent tracks, a minecart with momentum in a given direction on one track will impart momentum in the same direction to a minecart on the adjacent track, which will then itself send added momentum back to the first minecart, and so on as long as the two carts remain parallel.
