This idea may be impossible, maybe not, I have faith in the bukkit community. So basicly I want a grappling hook, now I know new blocks is nearly impossible, so we'll use a fishing rod. You'd right click so it launches the fishing rod, then left click to pull yourself towards it. If this is impossible, TP you there. I hope this gets made. Thanks! So many views, so little replies. this looks sick, how hard is it..... it would take alot of time and a programer that is willing to do updates on something this big. it looks hard
If you could make this, it would be FANTASTIC! By easy, do you mean the pull version, or the teleport version?
Teleport, animating the whole pull would be slow and resource-heavy. BUT there was a plugin doing exactly that using compass instead of fishing rod, search the forums (maybe it's abandoned)
Dangit, but oh well. It would still be pretty cool. Also, fishing rod is better because you aren't just looking at the air. that plugin let you use right click with compass and that is better because compass has no function, but fishing rod already has
I know...But there is 100s of things that let you teleport to somewhere, this lets you teleport to where the fishing bobber lands. Also, compass has a huge function, it points towards spawn. For servers that don't allow /spawn or /home like mine, compass is your only chance if you go somewhere like the nether.
Yea it was "Quickport" it's inactive now. sk89q has implemented the compass teleporting with "Worldedit" !
I was going to complain about a necro post, but now..... I just can't. I like the plugin by the way. Does CB kick players for flying or anything like that if the player is hovering?
