Restore from the backups you've been keeping.

WorldEdit snapshot restoration might help. The only available builds of WE/WG for 1.3 are development builds. Use at your own risk. http://wiki.sk89q.com/wiki/WorldEdit/Snapshots.

Edit: Snapshot only does sections of the world, sorry.

To what end? If you want to roll back your entire world, restore from backups.

yes but the server machine is not the same machine i play on and its on the other end of the house. its just a huge pain to go and repaste the world back in the server folder

You can give trusted players permission with a permissions manager, I suggest bpermissions. What if you had several copies of the same world loaded and you just switched between them during games?

would that not take up alot more ram?

It does take up more ram, but very little. You can also reduce the ram usage by using nospawnchunks to only load the spawn chunks of specific worlds. You can also keep the worlds "unloaded" but still in the configuration and use a load command to load the other world. This depends on your world manager.
