    Plugin category : Misc.

Suggested name : MCIDI (Minecraft ID Info)

What I want : A feature to know the ID of the item or block. Just type in a command and you will get the ID.

    Ideas for commands :

    - /id [item or block name]
Finds the ID of an item or a block.

Ideas for permissions : Same as my previous plugin requests, I do not need permissions and I want this to be used by everybody.

When I'd like it by : Anytime, maybe a week, if possible.

GregMC, this plugin would be completely useless in Minecraft 1.7, because they are deleting all the magic values( item ids ).

    "They?"
Hmm. Let's think of the smaller picture here: At least bukkit has the material enum.

I speculate "They" (The minecraft developers, right?) are probably going to by by class identification

They are changing it to names.
    Example :
"minecraft:stone" or "minecraft_stone" for the stone block.
    I'm not sure about it.

Not entirely useless, lookups like essentials shows names too, sure magic numbers will be removed but the name lookup will still be needed
