Placing Items On Ground?

I've seen multiple servers have items, such as golden apples and diamond swords, be placed on top of blocks. It looks really cool and I was wondering if anybody knew a plugin that allowed this for 1.8.8+?

They could have been using invisible armorstands to hold the item. I don't know any plugins offhand that make it easier to create them, but it should exist. If not, you may need to create a Plugin Request.

 

@PolarBearGalaxy Do you mean items that are just laying there, while you are unable to pick it up, and it doesn't despawn (even if you try to burn it)? If that's the case then changing some values on the item, and cancelling some events should do what you want.
If you want the item to be floating in the air then you'll need an invisible armorstand holding the item.

 

@KarimAKL I think he means like literally placed on the ground. like a golden apple just laying on the ground not in item form. Pretty sure that uses invisible armor stands that are rotated some way.

And the overview says it is 1.8 compatible so i'd say try it.
