Solved PermissionsEx screwing up

For some reason, my PermissionsEx doesn't work, and even if you are an op, you cannot do all the things you are supposed to be able to do. Here is my permissions config: http://pastebin.com/SMWejdQb

Now the op can do everything (YAY!) and the server console has stopped spamming, but 1. the prefixes still don't work, and 2. the group Admin can't do ANYTHING, not even things like /spawn, /help and they can't destroy stuff. I used your edited permissions. Please help!

Are you using a compatible version of pex with the new api changes? Are there errors in console?

Yes. That's the error i was looking for. You need to use the latest pex devbuild.

Yeah, when I started up the server with only Essentials and PEX, everything was fine. The prefixes are still not working, but I think it is due to this -> I did run it with PEX, but PermissionsEx was not mentioned in the startup and shutdown of the server console. http://pastebin.com/wD91B6ZT

Pex wasn't loaded. Are you sure that you left the PEX jar file in the plugins folder?

 

Yes, I am 100% sure it was in the plugins folder.

 

Try emptying your plugins folder (just from .jar files) leaving just pex and start your server.

Okay sure. I downloaded it from you link, http://webbukkit.org/jenkins/packages/PermissionsEx/PermissionsEx-latest-package.zip. I only use the PEX, I don't use any of the other ones in the package.

EDIT: I know what is wrong now! I accidentally used the whole package instead of the plugin. I'll retry it. XD

Okay, so the PEX is loading now, I'm trying the server with Essentials and PEX.

As soon as I installed Essentials as well, 1. the prefixes still aren't working, and 2. I can no longer destroy anything. I can't use commands either.

Is EssentialsChat.jar installed?
Try removing EssentialsProtect and EssentialsBuild

 

Yes, EssentialsChat.jar is installed. I booted up the server without EssentialsProtect and EssentialsAntiBuild. Now, I can build, but the prefix still doesn't work, and I still can't use any commands. I will download simple prefix, because the PEX prefixes have failed me before. So the problem now is I can't use ANY commands.

 

essentialsprotect doesnt block building, you can use it fine, also paste startup log to see if PEX version is correct.

 

Okay thanks guys, problem solved. I just switched to PermissionsBukkit.
