Permissions not playing nice with 531/556

I figured it would be better to post a well thought out troubleshoot here, rather than post some crappy reply to theYeti's thread.

So here we go:
Currently, I'm running b493 with permissions 2.5.2 working fine.
When I updated to b531 or b556, I get this error. (the plugin works, but it spams the console)
The reason I'm using the outdated version of Permissions is because, when I use a newer version, it does not work at all. It only gives me this error.

I know how to edit a Permissions config; I've been doing this for a while now

I got the exact same error as your second one, and it was because the file had a hidden estension. So it was world.yml.txt and it didn't work. Make sure your permissions is the same as your world name. Also, use latest reccommended and newest permissions just to be safe.

 

thanks it was the world.yml. I changed the world and forgot to rename the yml file from my old world name
