SpaceBukkit will always win my heart <3 :3
They charge me $3/month extra for MCMA...
Well to be fair, I would imagine its not that easy to create something as awesome as MCMA or SpaceBukkit. Let alone keeping it maintained.
McMA with all due respect does surprisingly little for the cash it brings in.
Go space bukkit!
Don't pay for it, buy it once (10 $) and install it yourself
I don't think they would let me since they are the host and so I won't be able to work with it.
What the hell? Seriously? What is this company, they are really ripping you off. I would prefer you to change host to something better. $3 extra every month for that is just too much when you could get an unlimted license for yourself for 10£.
I don't know how much you are paying at the moment for your current server, but I could prefer you few hosts.
http://www.redstonehost.com/ <- I used to have my server from them for around 2 or 3 months. I wasn't really happy for what I got, but I can't know why was my server lagging like crap. But I've heard from others that its a good company. Comes with McMyAdmin for no extra monthly cost.
http://www.s-servers.com/ <- Just great support and everything. I used to have VPS with 4gb ram from them for around 5 months. They also have their own controlpanel, sunset, its kinda nice but lacking few features, but in overall its great. However, you get root access to your VPS so basically if you want McMyAdmin, you can install it.
http://www.mpserv.net/ <- Can't tell much about their Minecraft server's, but I have webhosting from them and the support is nice. However, the CEO of this company is the guy I had my very first Minecraft server from. It was good while it lasted, but then I needed more RAM but couldn't afford their prices. Now they have better prices whatsoever. They have their own controlpanel, but I believe you can install McMyAdmin on it aswell if you like.
I hope its just all right for me to advice some companies here. If not, I'll just remove all this.
Would it be ok if I create a second post for beta? This thread is kinda the WIP thread.
I don't see why you can't. For open beta that is.
Can't wait to see a beta soon!
Eagerly awaiting a closed beta release. I see you haven't that much left on your TODO page either.
I agree with md_5, you shouldn't need one for a closed beta but when the open beta comes feel free to create a new thread.
Antariano How long is it going to be like a eta till the Closed beta is out? Or fix the bug?
@Antariano Is the closed BETA pointing towards today?
I suspect that the closed beta may not start today.
Isn't it supposed to be released the 17th?
My bad! I swear I read the 16th in that one post but I guess I misread it.
I read it too.
You're not going crazy
At least I am not going crazy then.
It's looking good.
My todo got significantly greener.
Offtopic: According to YouTube, 98% of the viewers for SpaceBukkit are male. lol
Thanks @ the 2% of female viewers <3
@Antariano i'm one of the 2% :3
If you want, I can do the installation video.
I am going to need a copy of SpaceBukkit though
I was waiting for the installer to be ready; the java part is finished, just needs audio sync and some password hiding ;P
So that means it's almost done? Awesome!
Are there any more chances to get into closed BETA? I'd love to test it, and I'm starting to go off McMyAdmin, becoming a pain. I'd love to get a decent admin panel for my server, I've had so many difficulties with McMyAdmin. I'm able to test it on a semi-popular server, we get up to 100 users in the holidays.
To be fair with everyone; we don't add people to the closed beta list anymore. But don't worry, open beta isn't long after closed
The best part about SpaceBukkit: SPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
I'm so excited I'm refreshing my email every 2 minutes.
Also, will the installer work on headless machines? Or can we just manually place the files here and there?
I don't see the point in buying a McMyAdmin license when something twice as good is almost ready for a public release.
The installer is for the website The java part you need to do manually
Well, all I can do now is wait...
