No Body Can Log Into My Server

well last night my friend tryed going on the new server i just made. and he could not log in. i have portfowarded a ip and a port. then i went to ipchicken.com to get a ip. i gave the ip for ipchicken to my friend after i ran the bat. when he tryed to log on it sayed time out and it also sayed camunication error

srry for my typing its like 7 in the morning and i did not get any sleep

 

Hopefully you have made your IP static?

ok i did that now what do i do to get my server to work

 

1. Make sure the port is forwarded to the IP you set for the computer.
2. Make sure that windows doesn't have a firewall blocking the port AT your computer (again, google this one).
3. Try it again and let us know how it went!
