NMS NPC

I've VERY new to NMS and I just created a NPC following a simple tutorial. My question is how do I make the NPC damageable, I can't hit it or anything. Any ideas?

 

Can you be more elaborate, are you using a custom entity?

 

I'm creating an entity using NMS and then sending the packet to the player, When you spawn the entity you can't damage it, I want to be able to damage it.

 

It'd be easier to create a custom entity then use pathfinders.

 

How would I do that? This is my first attempt at making any form of custom NPC. If there are easier ways to do what I'm trying to do then please help

I followed a Youtube tutorial just to get a feel of what I'm suppose to do. What would you use to create a "Fake" Player?
