I have never hosted a server b4, so I was wondering if somone could list the standard plugins or give me a link to them. factions, lwc, essentialls. those are all i know are they good?
the only "standerd" plugins are: essentials or something similar a permissions plugin of your choice any and all additional plugins depend on what you aim your server to be like.

bPermissions is simple to use for permissions. If you want Towns instead of factions, get Towny. Also use TownyChat for chat formating, and Questioner to prevent mayors from adding people without asking! MobArena is an awesome monster fighting arena plugin! AutoMessage is good for broadcasting messages! Multiworld is simple to use for multi world management! MineBackup and LogBlock are must plugins to handle griefers. MineBackup backs up your world(s) and LogBlock finds and rolls back griefers! NoLagg is recommend when it comes to reducing lag. NoCheat for anti-cheating. Orebfusticator for anti-xray! If you are going to build a LOT, get WorldEdit. Outside of essentials, I personally like CommandBook (the dev.bukkit page is more updated the the bukkit.org page). mcMMO is great for powers and fun. Overall, get iConomy! Use MobBounty or ecoCreator for money after killing mobs. Also use ChestShop for buying and selling items! Lockette is simple and light for locking chests. iSafe is a general light, but great plugin that prevents whatever you want, and allows you to use whatever you want. SimpleSpleef: Use it if you want a Spleef plugin. If you want a PvP server, get AntiSpawnKill. This prevents pvp within spawn. Probably one of the simplest plugins (besides AntiSpawnKill) is ColoredSigns. It makes colorful signs! Those are just some of the plugins I know. Ask again for more!
