Hey guys, I have lots of experience with minecraft servers (about 4 years or so) and I have a ready server all what I need is a bit information cause I am not that good with computers from outside!

My server box (motherboard) has 32 GB ram and 2.5ghz processor, it also has ssd x2 80 GB!
My internet is 51mbit/s Upload speed and 81mbit/s Download speed!

Would I be able to get about 150 slots? I run 30plugins, Not going to tell ya :p, but they are not huge plugins as I said I have 4 year experience and I have configured everything right, so I wont waste a mb of my ram on plugins...

    Thank You!

Everything should get you there. But that CPU clock speed worries me. What CPU is it specifically?

Polishgaming I don't think you can look it up because I constructed it from different parts!

rguz10 Ivy Bridge Xeon E3 processor ( Cloud Linux )

Home hosted I'm assuming? Try overclocking it. A clock of 2.5 is pretty low for minecraft servers.

rguz10 What do you recommend a clock to be?

FaniX I would say a minimum of 3.0 something closer to 3.5 would be best.

How much what will cost? A new CPU? A dedicated server? Fiber Internet?

It all depends... To be honest, just buy a dedicated server from OVH

rguz10 dedicated servers are too expensive... 120$ a month! WTF! :D

You get what you pay for. Would you like me to point you to a host that charges $300 - $1700 per month for dedicated servers?

Bobcat00 Why should I want that? :D... I can host a server on my own computer just leave it 24/7 :)... Good internet, lots of ram, good videocard

Automatic backups, ability to swap out failing hard drives on a live system, 10 Gbps connections to three Internet backbones, two diesel generators with multiple refueling contracts, 24/7 security, etc, etc. You have all that at home?

Like I said, you get what you pay for.
