   You would either need to get the source code or decompile the plugin, the latter I'm pretty sure isn't exactly... legal, though.

   Okay and why wouldn't it be legal, I'm just going to change a few things. It's not like I'm copying it.

   Well, copying source code from another plugin could violate the plugin's copyright license. It would be like Windows copying something from Mac.
